I got this for 3 EUR and still feel robbed. The amount of issues in this game make it a frustrating grind fest. Here is a list of problems that have been ignored by the devs since they abandoned this game years ago: The tutorials are abysmal, you'll have no idea how to serve or aim properly. The AI has infinite stamina, you however have limited stamina that you can consume during a single rally and will struggle to regain by the next point. Until you've won enough matches and unlocked + upgraded certain stamina coaches for stamina skill cards it won't get any better. This fact is kind of important since everything in the game is based on the stamina skill (running for the ball, serves, shot strength, etc.). There is scripting in the game that gives the AI lightning and/or flawless aces each time you're leading 40-0 and especially if you have break/set/match points. It's really difficult for you to hit aces because of the stamina and tutorial issues, but a child's play for the computer opponent. Often you'll notice the game ignoring shots from your opponent that are CLEARLY out and playing on as if nothing happened. It will also pull you back to the base line when you try to go up to the net, your avatar will stand staring at the clouds ignoring your key commands and letting easy slow shots from the opponent go past him. Oh, and also if you see a shot from the AI clearly going out, the game will make your player run and hit that ball wasting your stamina even when you're NOT TOUCHING ANY KEYS!!! You cannot choose how many points/games/sets you want a match to last, you're forced to sink in 30-45 minutes per match for any 4 or 5 star tournament.
I just tried to played and to enjoy the game but i cant. I cant. Even with some easy steps to have a reasonable easy opponent i just loose the game. The AI is just to hard even on easy mode. I played with keyboard and its hard. I admit im not a controller fan, but i tried it also. Still have no fellin to played it on like a should but the game is just hard. Even if i choose the amateur is hard. i tried the pro mode, even more to impossible to beat the opponent. The game is made like to beat me at every step, even if its easy. Thanks but not thanks. I dont need that khm#! mode in the game. The game is just ok but hard to beat the play. If i have to rate it 4 of 10.
Tennis World Tour has potential, but the experience is dragged down by technical issues. The gameplay itself can be fun once you get into a match, but the menus are a real problem — the speed feels glitched, jumping or moving too fast, which makes navigation frustrating. Combined with occasional freezes and rough animations, the game feels unpolished. If the developers fix the menu speed glitch and smooth out performance, it could be a solid tennis title, but in its current state it’s hard to fully enjoy.
I've been an MMO and RPG player for a long time. As such, it's second nature for me to use the WASD keys to move my avatar. As a matter of fact, it's just muscle memory and I don't have to think about it at all. Well guess what? This game uses those keys for deciding which shot you want to play, and the arrow keys are used for moving your player. No problem, I'll just remap those keys and be on my merry way. Ooops, not so fast! This game won't let you remap the key bindings (wait, let me check what year this is). Most of my 15 hours in this game were spent trying to train myself to use the keys properly... I have about 70% success rating; but, as you might suspect, the minute I'm in a crunch situation, muscle memory takes over and I'm using WASD to try to move. Just way too frustrating.
