Tender Loving Care

It's more of a movie than a game. It's 50% psychological thriller in the style of Lifetime + Cinemax. The loop is simple: 1. Watch a chapter of a movie. These run 10-15 minutes. 2. The narrator discusses what just happened and asks you questions about what you believe is happening in the story. 3. Then you can snoop around the house, invading the character's privacy by reading their diaries, emails, listening to the voicemails, etc. This is optional. 4. You take a brief psychological examination that asks intrusive questions about sex. 5. Repeat There are 7 endings that depend on how you answered the questions. You can pause and rewatch the movie clips, which alone makes this game 10x better than most other FMV games from the 90s.

In the beginning I thought the story and set up was intriguing but lost my suspension of disbelief after a certain point. Still, the nurse was attractive.

THIS IS A GREAT GAME (if you don't ONLY watch the clips and answer questions) Ahead of its time thematically and a pefect buy for a fan of the genre or Lynch/Cronenberg. BUT the acting could be better at times, can be heavy on the reading and actual gameplay that isnt just finding things to read and listen to would make this game even better. Another huge issue REMOVED FROM STEAM "The viewer, too, becomes one of Dr. Turner's patients, taking a series of Thematic Apperception Tests (TATs), the results of which create a progressively accumulating personal psychological profile, and a complete psychological analysis by the end of the movie." THIS IS A LIE THE FEATURE IS NOT PRESENT IN THE GAME ANYMORE. Recomended for the sexual and emotional mature of mind. 8.5

Everybody in this game is beyond help. Just give them the old Hiroshima treatment at this point, tbh! Great titties though...

This game is like free therapy... That actively scars you in the process. Thrillingly dark! If you are a fan of Jungian psychology you will love it. It is a little bit buggy, also be careful closing out of it without saving because you may abruptly lose your progress. I never played the original CD-ROM, some people say they remember it having a more conclusive analysis at the end but there was a lot of build-up to a moment that in this version doesn't appear to happen. Kind of a shame really. Maybe that's why this game is so cheap, but I honestly was more fascinated by this game than most games I've played in awhile that cost way more money than this, I don't regret purchasing it. I might even play it again sometime. Perhaps the best point-and-click I've ever played? Very insightful to the human condition. Underrated masterpiece.

This game changed me as a person. One minute im reading journal entries of people with the most f****d libidos and the next im questioning the status of my bowel movements. My main takeaway from this game is to always wear your seatbelt.
