Beautiful
what a fantastic indie gem. This is right up my ally! loved the pixel art & animations the atmosphere was fantastic, the use of lighting was great 100% recommending this gem of a game
The first element of Tempus Bound that jumped out to me was the visual style, perfectly capturing that 8-bit aesthetically not just in the graphics themselves but in the subtle way it builds the world it takes place in, the mystery, feeling as though you're a small cog in a massive machine. It was like being transported back to being a child and being overcome with these feelings of wonder and adventure. Controls are tight and responsive for the most part, with the only little issue I had being the camera itself during certain platforming section (although this is admittedly a minor nitpick), with everything moving along at a good pace that any issues I had were pushed to the back of my mind. I really enjoyed the time I spent playing it and, honestly, wasn't really ready for it to be over and done... until I spotted the allusion to potentially a loop as it were, meaning there's more story for me to unravel. If this at all sounds appetising to you, then it's certainly worth the £4.39.

If you like to wander around, search for secrets... If you like atmospheric games where you have to decipher the story without text, and you enjoy the interesting art style as shown in the trailer. And are fine with a short game with no combat... Then I recommend Tempus Bound! It has its issues (weird physics interactions at times, able to get stuck if you are too thorough, and it's shorter than I'd hope), but it's a great example of more experimental indie games. I suggest a discount, and possibly trying the demo if you're uncertain at all. What did I like most about it...? It had an illusion of something greater, and I was very intrigued. Overall it still did a nice job, especially after some reflection on the ending... Wish it had been at least one level longer. I could be more detailed about everything, but it's best to just go in blind imo.
I really want to give this a positive rating, It has beautiful pixel art graphics and physics, (a couple) cute characters, and is the first steam release from a solo dev, but there's just not enough here, and what is here isn't very good. The first area is so dark you would barely be able to tell where you were going if it wasn't so linear, and there's holes that can send you back to the start for seemingly no reason other than to annoy you and pad out the minuscule run time. The second area goes by so fast you barely notice it (though I did fall through the map multiple times), and the third area is probably the best, but has these jumping pads that disappear (again, for no reason other than to annoy and slightly pad the time spent) and are just very janky; then its over, credits roll. Very light platforming through 3 very short linear areas. No save system, barely any options, no replayability other than the "speedrun" mode or to get achievements. If you love the aesthetic and want to support a solo indie dev, yes, pick it up; but if you want an actual fun gaming experience to go along with that, I wouldn't recommend this game.
Definitely a case of style of substance, but that’s okay for a very short and cheap Indie like this. First level was actually mildly annoying with the use of pitch black darkness to prevent you from seeing where you are going, but the rest of the game breezes by. The forest level in particular is very beautiful. Gameplay is less than an hour.
Nice and short tech demo, not really a game. It should be distributed for free on itch.io: definitely not worth the price.
