About
Embark on a journey through the Temple of Starlight, an abstract first-person puzzle game that challenges players to harness the power of light and color to navigate through intricate levels. Uncover the non-linear story of an ancient civilization that was struck by a devastating starlight disaster, and guide the people through this crisis.
Temple of Starlight offers over 30 different puzzle levels, resulting in around 2 hours of playtime. While prioritizing quality over quantity, we strive for this to be a short, but pleasant experience.

Discover the story of a catastrophic event from the ancient Saasil civilization, where a natural disaster caused the stars to fade and their primary source of energy, starlight, became unattainable. Uncover the challenges and struggles faced by the civilization as they navigate through this crisis.
As the player, you will play a critical role in the story of the rulers Red, Green, and Blue as they work to overcome the starlight disaster and safeguard their people. Your choices throughout the levels will affect the progression of the story.
The core gameplay of the game revolves around the manipulation of the primary colors of light - red, green, and blue. Test your additive color skills by adjusting the colors of light and experimenting with different combinations to manipulate objects and advance through the temple.
Experience an otherworldly atmosphere with mesmerizing colors and surreal structures. The unique visuals are elevated by a captivating, original musical score and immersive sound effects.

Minimalist puzzler where you mix (base) colours to progress. Sounds simple enough, and for the most part it is pretty straight forward. Click a button, point a beam or three, and off you go to next level and get stuck. Solution: Try not to overthink it. It is often a very simple solution to what seams to be a very complex puzzle. (The game can be a bit straining on your eyes with its bright colours, so best not to play for to long at a time) Extra point for full controller support, with rebindable keys.
I originally intended to only take a peek, but ended up playing through the entire game in one sitting. Temple of Starlight is a puzzle game that is very approachable to non-puzzle players like myself, even though you may end up temporarily embarrassed as you forget how to mix, say, the color yellow, and need to consult your favorite flavor of search engine. I echo other people's sentiment about the game hitting a good spot between simple puzzles and them being too frustrating. The difficulty slowly builds over time, and just when I thought it would approach the realm of impossibility for not so experienced puzzlers, it turns out I was actually approaching the end of the game! What I almost thought to be undoable only proved to be a challenge for the final few puzzles. The story is interesting and easy to follow while leaving enough room for personal speculation. I didn't expect a game of this category to actually make me stop and think about my morals in order to decide which path to follow. Also +1 for the music, as it reminded me of Outer Wilds as well. It's quiet, slow, and soothing, and fits right in with the rest of the atmosphere. A good deal for such a low price. I will definitely be back shortly to collect the rest of the achievements! :)
The levels feel like creative 3D puzzles with colors. The art style is incredible, I haven’t seen a game like that. Feels retro. The story and visual elements together create an immersive experience and provide a nice break from the puzzle solving.
Cool little puzzle game!
Neat puzzles with rewarding aha moments, great art direction, and interesting storytelling which gives me Outer Wilds vibes in terms of discovering, and in this case deciding, the fate of a civilization.
I have played this for over an hour on my steam deck so far, it's great!!!!
