Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.57/day in the week to Aug 15 → 5.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Classic RTS action meets modern production and performance in Tempest Rising. Inspired by RTS greats of the 90s and 2000s, Tempest Rising is a classic, base-building real time strategy game set in a modern day alternative history war scenario. It features 3 unique factions, each with its own approach to combat and economy and offering a variety of strategies for players of all stripes, deep and rewarding gameplay that keeps a focus on strategy while rewarding skill, and built-in customization options that allow players to approach the game their way in both single player and multiplayer game modes.
Take on the role of Commander in the highly mobile and advanced peacekeeping corps of the Global Defense Forces or the hard-hitting and desperate Tempest Dynasty in 2 11-mission campaigns that allow the player to customize their army for each mission, as both armies seek to understand and control the mysterious but beneficial Tempest vines that grow unchecked across the war-torn planet Earth. Other dangers wait in the shadows, as the origin of the Tempest is revealed...
Relive classic RTS base building with fast, fluid, and hard-hitting combat
Command 2 unique rosters of units as either the GDF (Global Defense Force) or the Tempest Dynasty (with the third playable faction, the Veti, coming in the future.)
Experience 2 epic single player campaigns with voiced mission briefings
Wage war alone or with friends in 3 game modes: versus AI opponents in Custom Game lobbies, in 1v1 and 2v2 Multiplayer Matchmaking, or solo in skirmish mode with up to 500 units per team and two unique superweapons to compliment each faction’s playstyle.

never forget... https://youtu.be/g1Sq1Nr58hM?si=TZPFncMK1_0-2Nop
Things I Like:
+++ Spiritual Successor to Red Alert 3: Without the cringe models trying to act their way past being gooner bait fo nerds in the early 2000s in really goofy FMVs (tho I admit, some of those FMVs are pure gold, like the one linked) but there are CG briefing cutscenes with characters, good music, hero units for each faction and that classic Command & Conquer strategy gameplay of building and defending a base, sending out an army to hold certain points all to ultimately roll into the enemy base and absolutely demolish them! +++ Badass Soundtrack: I'm so tired of games having zero personality in their OSTs, like they spend all that money paying a composer to just to do what's been done before. Finally a strategy game OST with personality and a few bangers to get you hyped up during play, instead of putting you to sleep! +++ Great unit, FX and art design: I knew I was going to play as the Blue American/Euro style faction even before I saw their units, but I can't deny, even the other factions have some awesome looking troops and vehicles that make me want to try them out. The UI style is perfect, the destruction FX and animations are really good and the overall design in the art department simply has a pop to it. + Map Editor: Today there was a free map editor added to the game, along with Steam Workshop and a bunch of balance changes which is what prompted me to write a quick review. Now players can design their own maps to wage war on and share them easily.
Things I Dislike:
--- TBD: I'm way late to reviewing this game and currently still half-way thru the first campaign, but I'm also trying to keep up with other games I have, you know how it is. I think I'm just gonna keep editing this each time I return, just for the love of writing reviews and talking about games. That said, even after playing the demo for this game, I was sure it was going to be good and after what I've played, I can safely recommend it.

Grandioses RTS.
Imagine pre-ordering a game, playing a couple of levels and deciding it needs a few patches, then a year later, you decide to play it finally, and it's forcing you to accept a 20+ page EULA, or it quits the game. IDK if I can convince Steam Support to give me a refund over a year after purchase, but this is just scummy af.
Very poor architectural decisions, which basically disqualify this game just at start, and I'm very sad to say that, as over 20-years-old precedessors from the CNC franchise still have the best approach in many areas of game logic. Few examples: - After using the super-weapon, you can't see the result of your attack, if no units of yours are nearby, wherreas in the old CNC - using the weapon automatically scans the area so you can at least see the destruction of your weapon - You cannot use spy drones on the area where no units of yours are present. You might even ask how is this possible? Isn't it the purpose of spy drones to reveal the area which is not reachable? - When you request a bombing in a given area for a rescue, usually whenever there's a big enemy army attaching, they immediately leave the area, as soon as you click on the target. This is especially painful one, and basically unacceptable hole in the logic, that disqualifies this game. I'm very sorry to give a negative opinion - I hope to update it as soon as I see more reasonable decisions from the devs.
Wont refund because it was 4 dollars but it's not worth more than that. The AI and combat system in it is braindead and very slow. The campaign is painful. Just stick to SC2
好游戏,让人回忆起20年前的RTS黄金时代,整体都很像CnC,剧情也有不错的发展。 寻路系统有问题,有时候会卡住走不动。 看剧情走向,估计是要有续作的?
I wish there was a more neutral option for Steam reviews, but I can't give this game a straight yes. There are a lot off issues that can be resolved, but wall building is absolutely broken if building north/south because of the grid system. ****Spoilers**** the missions against the surprise enemy at the end are just plain broken. Escorting civilians and the enemies just port in out of no where and slaughter them before your defenders can possibly respond. The AI is just kinda dumb.
In diesem Sinne tching tching
