About
Social and economic conflicts have rocked the world. There is just one metropolis that can boast stability, but even this city only has enough resources to maintain a precarious balance of power. The authorities decided to create an algorithm that could build a perfect city for all segments of the population. This project gave birth to Iris, an artificial intelligence designed for building a utopia. Welcome to Technotopia!
You will have a deck of cards with buildings at your disposal. Build skyscrapers, parks, residential districts and transport highways. It's up to you to decide what the ideal metropolis should look like.

Four factions are fighting for control of the city: capitalists, aristocrats, politicians, and the common people. They will do anything to bend the others to their will, and every decision you make tips the scales. Play the role of arbiter, meeting everyone's needs equally.

A city is a living organism, where something is always happening that requires your attention. Where do you put up fire victims? What do you do with the gang that has taken control of some districts? Factions will offer their solutions, but it's up to you whether to follow them or advance your own agenda.

The city is home to a variety of characters. Hackers, oligarchs, criminals and inventors — communicate with the cream of the crop and provide them with services in exchange for their help in maintaining order. A perfect city is built for people, with the help of people!

Despite the devs not working on this, this game is still just the bare bones of a game that doesn't exist. The gameplay is both confusing and unforgiving. It's a puzzle game that you play for the story (the moral of which is pleasing everyone is hard lol), which makes the unforgiving and quick games repetitive and boring. Stay away from the game unless it's very on sale
Technotopia
What a fun little game! It has an absolutely gorgeous art style, good music, and enjoyable gameplay. The story, though short, is very entertaining. Can be a bit confusing at first, but after a couple of tries, you’ll get the hang of it. Highly enjoyable for a couple of evenings!
I'm not an achievement hunter, but if I enjoy a game enough I will play for a few hours after "finishing" to see if I can get the achievements. I think ill probably stop going for the "Make 6 of X decision" achievements and call it there on this game. A. It significantly unbalances your run making it harder. b. Its entirely random, you get a choice once a week and unless you are having a particularly good run your hitting game over by week 10. So deciding on a solo faction run will probably mess you up anyway. c. I have probably seen 4 Criminal Actions over the whole campaign. Getting 6 in one run just doesn't seem worth trying. All in all I liked this game, it didn't vibe immediately but after a couple of sessions it clicked and I just ploughed through the story. If you are an achievement hunter though. Just don't.
It's short, easy to follow, and fun to play. It's a pretty relaxing game with some fun mechanics. Not overly complicated, and doesn't overstay its welcome.
Very short game, can be easily completed within 1.5 to 2hrs. But it has a price tag that reflects that and the story/setting is interesting and the gameplay is fun.
Technotopia is a city builder, that's kind of fun but not really. It looks cool, but it's not. I think I'll stick to Sim City lol
I really enjoyed Technotopia. It isn't a game you play forever, but it is very fun to play. The story is as simple as good: It enables a frame for the gameplay but leaves you with leeway to decide yourself what you prioritise and when or even if you continue the story. Sometimes I got lost in building some specific arrangement of buildings or completing a task, that I forgot to pay attention to balancing out the factions. However, this i the charme of the game: You are free to build how you please as long as you keep the factions in check. For the price of 5€ max I think Thechnotopia is definitely worth a try if you like a cozy and relaxing building/strategy game.
