It had potential, but there is just way too many flaws.
https://youtu.be/5iwMybzStXM Using better known mascot characters without accompanying levels that leverage their original play will disappoint more often than provide excitement for their inclusion.

1) game isn't sold anymore 2) it had an interesting idea of combining different playstyles of different games 3) a lot of heart was put into this game 4) the gameplay itself wasn't that engaging imo (according to achievements in 15 mins I have gotten farther than 90% of people who have played the game) 5) the game was overly cheerful
A crossover that feels decidedly less than the average, never mind sum, of its parts. (Only got this at all from a humble bundle ages ago and only played it for the obscurity of it being pulled from all stores. You're not missing out.)
Una mezcla de SONIC, con otros juegos de Sega genesis, pero hay como varios minijuegos, no termino de entender bien de que va el juego. Por algo el editor lo oculto de Steam, por que sabe que no es la gran cosa.
Don't like the art style, platformer controls feel "floaty" and unreal. Some of the puzzles are well designed but as a game this doesn't feel like it comes together into a cohesive whole.
No. Just no.
Tags: Platformer Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Poorly crafted hybrid game. Gem collection is pointless. Imprecise platforms hitboxes and unsatisfying controls. Limited abilities. ¨Going in blind¨ level design. Play level parts with a char until you reach a gem that restarts level with a different char. Each char has an ability and cooperate with yourself to beat level and collect gems. There are a lot of very small ambitions puzzle platformers in which you can spawn a copy of yourself, or play a different character. Those are usually one screen games that are extremely puzzle heavy. Team Indie improves on this formula by making the levels wider, softening the puzzles a tiny bit at least in the early levels and putting emphasis on item collection. The unfortunate thing is that collecting gems and crates only unlocks pointless trophies in the trophy room making them rather poor motivation for the player. Each character has one specific ability, some auto-run some dont. But the jist of it is you usually have limited use of whatever ability you have and you are often forced to rewind sections over and over until you sort of get it right. If you realize after thef act that a previous character is not doing the run correctly I am unclear if it is even possible to just re-do that character partial run. Using the Xbox remote shortcuts all I could do is restart the latest character or restart the whole level. I guess what I am trying to get at is, this gets tedious fast, there is not much to do other move forward and synchronize with the self playing character from your previous run to get past simple looking obstacles. There are also many instances in which teleporters are used, or the level expects you to go left, then right then left again, or uses verticality in which portions of the screen you cannot see yield the answers to how you should navigate the portion of level you are on now. Some characters cannot turn on their own without picking up the appropriate gem on the way. The game feels more like a collection of limitations than a collection of abilities from the different characters and they just dont gel together satisfyingly. The game also does not hitbox the platforms perfectly, and the controls fet a tad loose. It is still totally playable but again, does not have that satisfying level of control you would want. Finally there is a walkthrough made by the level designer of the game on the Steam Workshop. He posted the first 20 out of 60 levels solutions and said he would post the rest up later ... to avoid spoilers. At a later point he just said he was not going to do the rest of the guide after all, presumably because he could no longer be arsed to. While this is not a dealbreaker and steamguides are not an expected feature of a game, it tell you a lot about the general attitude, level of effort, and tone that you can expect from the controls, level design and fun factor from this title. Enough to create a half decent first impression only to see that impression vanish as the flaws and lazyness become obvious. It is not all bad though, just not very engaging. The game has a rather pleasant and upbeat sounding musical track. The worlds are not unpleasant to look at, and the character sprites, although a tad cheap looking, are at least semi-recognizable (braid guy, commander video guy...) Conclusion: If you were interested in the puzzle element of this I would recommend trying The Cave instead to self-coop with different characters of different ability. Much better design both for characters, abilities, and levels. If you were interested in sidescrolling with multiple characters and doing fun stuff, try Super Time Force Ultra. It acts in a similar way with the character swap and rewind mechanics but adds at on of stuff to shoot and blow up instead of boring gems.
