Teabat!

A simple platformer with an interconnected world, while short there's lots of fun to be had here, with a few different modes and even an online multiplayer! While the main objective here is to collect Teapots, there is nothing that stops you from speeding through the game, so the playtime highly depends on what you do. If I had to point out one thing is that I wish there was more content, but that's something that could be fixed with content updates which will hopefully come at some point with the other Episodes. Regardless, if you're into exploration then definitely get this game!

simple & cute collect-a-thon speed game with lovely music and lush lofi pixel art and 250 person online multiplayer, which seems to only be there as a dev flex but it's so cool anyway includes speedrun and arcade modes that it feels like the normal Adventure mode is just practice for it would be much easier to tell where i'm going and if i'm about to crash at high speeds if the camera were more zoomed out, but with how Hard reduces the range of the teapot radar and arcade mode has no radar at all i think the main idea the dev wanted "getting good" to be was memorizing how to navigate levels and the best combo route, so this might be deliberate many other platformers with "momentum" controls take too long to reach top speed, but these controls felt very good in that and all other terms very cute and fun! can't wait for episode two! show no fear!

wonderful combination of lush and lofi, imaginatively stimulating in its visual textures which is impressively consistent given the customization aspect. wonderful to cozy into, the exact ratio of exploration to very slight platforming to form one of the most passively pleasing textures ive felt in this kind of game. a Tiny Bit Magical, at the least

This game is strangely relaxing to me. There isn't much of a goal other than traveling to the eventual end point of the game but it is very fun wandering around the beautiful environments. I especially enjoyed the breathtaking 3D areas. I wish there was a little more of that but I'm sure those take a lot of effort to create. I generally enjoy challenging games and there isn't too much challenge to be found here since you are semi-immortal but I found a different kind of enjoyment in the charming environments and the sense of exploration.

A quaint, fun little game born out of love for an era that I never grew up in nor do I have much experience in. The controls are very responsive. I didn't have much trouble learning how to control the Tea Bat or make use of his abilities to traverse the levels. The music is really great, given the limitations. The shopkeep theme in particular is always a treat to come back to. The game is relatively easy, though that's definitely not a bad thing. The game manages to be fun despite that. My two criticisms are the fact that the way the game is designed, screen clutter can be an issue along with screen crunch on the main window of play. This isn't altogether an issue and the game does allow for window resizing on the game itself, but it is a problem of the type of games this one is inspired by, I think. The second one is more of a nitpick. The game music default is *way too loud!* Seriously, I love the music, I don't love it blasting my headphone wearing ears out! I highly recommend this one as a short, fun little treat of a game. Definitely a game that will sit with ya as a fun experience. Nothing groundbreaking and nothing here needs to be, it's just a fun and memorable experience.
