I have about 5 hours in the game. Here's my take. First off, shoutout to Toblue for being an approachable developer and helping me with that odd situation and allowing me to create content for his game. Glad for your understanding! Now about the game -- it is a very light RPG in the sense that there isn't an overly-complicated plot or a long, drawn-out epic story. It is approachable, easy to digest, and made for most audiences. It has a simple charm and appeal to it, with our mysterious hero and his companions on a quest of what is a combination of Scooby-gang style mystery and self-discovery. The mechanics are simple, yet there is a certain flair in combat. The rune system is fun because you can customize your characters to suit your play style. There is very limited equipment in the game; the focus on the runes is key. And the game is pretty well-paced; no need to grind levels although you could if you wished. The rather short playtime might make some people feel the game isn't worth the cost, but the developer had the foresight to create new game plus modes which have randomizers. This allows for up to three other variations of the first playthrough that can challenge you and keep your interest going. The story does start out kind of weak. You are sort of thrown into it without any real explanation of what's going on, but the story is explained as you go and the details are filled in with appropriate timing. If there's anything I would add, it would maybe be an explanation of the Combo that you get in battle. There's not a real reason behind it other than to let you know that you hit the monster X amount of times between its own actions. Also the game is setup in a "smash fest" type of play similar to Sailor Moon RPG from the Japanese SNES where the only time you need healing items is in battle and you get your vitals reset between battles; it'd be nice if there was a sign or some sort of character to tell you this. Overall I enjoyed the game and was surprised that I went through the entire game in one sitting. Definitely worth picking up if you don't want a heavy RPG experience. Again, if you don't care for lighter or simpler RPGs this might not be your jam. My playthrough is available on Youtube, go check it out and see the game for yourself! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xkAy8A4b358
