Tales of Wedding Rings VR

It should have been a free promo for the manga. Even with the discounted price it doesn't worth it. There is great effort behind it, and it is exactly how a manga should look in 3D but it's still just a prologue and more than half of it is just frames instead of full screen scenes.

This was very well done and great proof of concept for future adaptations. My only critique is that this was not the best source to adapt from for VR. Tales of Wedding Rings is very character driven and thus not much enhanced by being experienced in VR. If you were to instead adapt a manga / anime where the environment plays a much bigger part in the story telling i think seeing it in VR could bring the experience to a whole new level.

I like this story a lot. So I tried this. In short - recommend to try and refund (or keep it to support Square Enix) the Good: Beautiful - in pic styles, music, sound. Nice Details, and I can see it's quite hard to decide what to be included in the each scene, what to show, and how - very nice direction. Like the gramps when they left for school - the game here includes him watering the plants down below we can see before Satou comes out. The wedding rings + necklace at the menu are nice to look at. the BAD - Super short -- too too too too too short. - at this price (50% discount) we can get some decent small game already. (As someone said before, only 37/60 pages of the 1st chapter) At least let us see the kiss scene! It would mean the dev will have to make the palace scene (with lots of new details, characters etc.) including some destruction by the demon - so probably too much work compared to their expected sale. And should have done in color. Black and white is ... too jaded. And it doesn't work out of the box, I launched it and failed. Had to uninstall SteamVR, install Meta app to run the air link with my quest 2 - and restart my PC 1 time. - Seems to not work with Virtual Desktop / Steam VR. - Thanks the discussion on steam that make me figure out how to. Edit: 1 more Bad - Can't skip lines - making watching again a hassle since having to watch from the beginning. If this happens for real for the whole series - even by chapter - if your fevourite scene is right at the end of a chapter - you're doom. I like it similar to Tales of Berseria (I think) when you click = skip 1 line, it will skip 1 line and also the animation to the next one for the next line as well.

after selecting language, game does not work. can return to main menu but resume button does not do anything. black screen and broken. for shame squareenix.
