Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.71/day in the week to Sep 17 → 0.6/day in the week after.

There's a lot that I like- particularly the cooking and fishing mechanics. However, I can't in good faith recommend with the amount of glitches. The game could be better in terms of details/design choices and mechanics (being able to sell dishes?) but the glitches are what pushes to Not Recommended.
This game is NOT optimized, but with tweaks it is a delight to play. There is a thread in the Steam Community that lists the Steam Deck settings. Those worked for my PC. I have a Ryzen 7, 32G RAM and 3060txi. The story is cute so far. There is time each day to fish or forage; you're not just running errands for your neighbors. The graphics are charming. I'm 3 hours in and I look forward to playing each day!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This type of game is not normally my cup of tea, but this one is oddly relaxing to play. Very goofy, clearly made more for kids than anyone else, but nonetheless a nice waste of time. Grab it on a sale, because it's kind of pricey for what it is, but it's still worth a play if you dig "cozy" games.
It's definitely a cozy game where you can just puts around Backwater and not have to worry about any 'action' and just enjoy the scenery. It does get a bit repetitive so I do take breaks from it if I am looking for game time that has more to it than just foraging and feeding my neighbors. But all in all it is a super cute game I only wish you were able to talk to non main quest villagers while you are out and about just to give it a little more depth.
honestly there is so much to this game, ive played for ages and its adorable and fun and low stakes
Colorful, relaxing and it's as if I am right there while playing!
The good: - Incredibly cute art style and music. It's very faithful to the hobbit/lotr movies down to small details (fun fact: the props for the movies were suppplied by the studio that made this game) - The game captures the "hobbit vibe" perfectly. - Gameplay complexity is at a sweet spot where it's neither boring nor overwhelming. I especially love the cooking mechanic. Overall very comfy and relaxing. The bad: - BACK UP YOUR SAVEFILES!!! Especially if you play the game on multiple devices. My savefile got irrecoverably deleted 10 hours into the game and I had to start over. Savefiles are in %APPDATA%\LocalLow\Weta Workshop\TotS\Saves - The game is completely unoptimized. My PC can play cyberpunk at stable 60 fps yet this game regularly drops down to 20-30 fps. Wouldn't expect this from a game with heavily stylized graphics. - Minor bugs and visual glitches happen somewhat frequently.
a very cozy hobbit life sim :)
