About

Maoti is raised by his mentor and trained to become a herbalist in the northern wetlands. The northerners adhere to an all-encompassing Order, which strictly controls everybody's fate. But not everyone is happy to follow the rules and the long-lasting age of peace is coming to its end.
Corvus is a magus living in the harsh desert. His people are at war with another clan that also believes to be chosen by Pyros the fire god. Corvus finds a way to invade the distant land of the northerners, where his clan could gather resources to fuel the war effort.

Delightful story-based game with easy puzzles but a decent length.
Before playing this game, I'd highly recommend playing the Golden Sceptre first. It has essentially no relevance to the plot but it gives a good feel as to what the game is like. Plus it's free. Gnomish Plot gives a feel for the world, as does Four Fates (which I prefer) I like the simple, straightforward puzzle gameplay. I find the world fun and interesting. The dialogue isn't outstanding but perfectly serviceable. Although I enjoyed playing this game, I will say the last chapter is rushed. It's not a deal breaker but the pacing just goes out the window at this point. The romance element is poorly handled in that there's no character build-up for it. It just happens. Even in films with tacked-on romantic subplots there's the 'staring scene' or something. At first, I thought it was bad translation into English or something but no, there is a romance out of nowhere. It doesn't even drive the plot (anymore than a friendship or alliance would) I wish I could give more constructive criticism than this but seriously: Set up the romance. That said, it's a good game to spend a few hours playing. I would play a sequel. I especially like the end scene where you can talk to all the characters. Would play again.
Wow people weren't kidding about it being really gay! I love it! That aside, it's a really great game. If you haven't played the two free minigames, they are prequels and will help you figure out if you like the style of this one. I hope there's a sequel!
Si vous cherchez un jeu type RPG maker mais sans combats au tour par tour et avec une histoire sympa, c'est exactement ce que vous allez trouver. La préquelle permet de se faire une bonne idée du gameplay et l'histoire vaut le détour ^^.
As other players, I've completed the rest of Nebezem's games on Kongregate and I must say this one is a fine addition to the lore. Everyone who loves rpg and interesting plot should definitely try it out. (The only thing I disliked is the forced gay stuff. But I see it's a trend nowadays like in Dreamfall chapters and Bioware's DA and ME)
Like many others, I played the prequel games on Kongregate before picking this one up. I had a lot of fun playing through the puzzles and the story was pretty good. Most of the puzzles are a little on the easy side and there's no real penalty for failure, other than having to do something over again. Still, if you liked the free games, then you'll probably like this one as well.
Spoiler-free review (for would-be buyers): Good game, if you have played the Tales of Nebezem flash games you will definitely enjoy this one, the gameplay is very similar especially to Gnomish Plot if that helps you decide. Spoiler-with review (for the developer): I have played and enjoyed all the flash ToN games, and with that experience, I say: this one's pretty good too. Some things I wasn't a fan of, like how the wind and earth duo doesn't do much for most of the plot, many of the sidequests weren't very clear about, well, being sidequests that could be done, and we never get any closure for the fire cultists (sure, they probably just got to worship Pyros after the bridge was opened, but it sounded like they were planning their own thing) or the Pyromilite invasion. Besides, the game felt very short, which would have made me think it wasn't worth the money I paid for it (even though I bought it on sale lol) but considering all the content from the flash games was completely free, I'd say you deserve more money. P. S: Who the hecc is Nebezem?
This was a fun game and I really liked the prelude games on Kongregate that are promotions for it. I'd definitely recommend playing them first if you're interested in this one. They will tell you more about this game than any review will. This game is mostly fetch quests with some puzzles too. They are wrapped together in a nice story, that is perhaps tied up too quickly at the end. It's nice that it has a point of view, although
it was perhaps too easy to convince the warring tribes to stop fighting after so many had been killed. That part could have been more detailed.
I'd definitely play more from the developer.
It'd be fun to play switching between all four characters.
