About
You stumble upon the last Henki - a creature unlike any other, a shapeshifter keeping the world of Taival in balance. Together, you set out across a handcrafted blocky world to recover the shattered fragments of its lost heritage. What you find along the way will change both of you.
Taival is a co-op adventure RPG for up to 4 players where your goal is to find out who destroyed Heartstone of the Henki, restore it to its former glory and bring your companion back to where it belongs. This is a cozy yet mighty adventure you’ve never seen before.
Your Henki companion is the heart of Taival. As you encounter new creatures across the world, Henki can absorb their essence and shift into their form each one bringing a unique set of abilities to battle and exploration. A hulking beast that absorbs damage. A swift mount that scales cliffsides. A cunning predator that strikes from the shadows.
The more of the world you explore, the more forms you unlock. Master new skills and find the combination that fits your playstyle or your party's.
Taival is a handcrafted open world built from the ground up with a charming, voxel-style blocky art style. Multiple seamlessly connected realms each bring their own environments, inhabitants, and secrets from rolling highlands to dense forests and ancient ruins waiting to be uncovered.
Spread across the world are tons of quests with varying lengths. Players can help a farmer figure who stole their barrel of plants (it was a rodent), or they can assist in settling a house ownership disagreement between two goblins. The game being a cozy co-op RPG doesn’t mean the quests are only on the cozy side of things; Players can find themselves fighting a beast on a barbarian camp or doing some pest control on insects of their own size.
Taival is built for playing together. Invite up to 3 friends and journey as a full party each with their own character, companion, and skill tree. What makes Taival's co-op special: you can mix local split-screen and online players in the same session, simultaneously. One friend on the couch, two more joining from across the world all in the same adventure.
When your group faces a pivotal quest decision, everyone gets a say. You will all follow the same dialogue, letting you see each other's cursors and suggested dialogue options.
Taival's progression runs on two tracks that grow in tandem. For your character: unlock abilities, improve your combat skills, and even level up your fishing. For Henki: master new creature forms, unlock mount abilities for faster exploration, and build a companion that feels uniquely yours. The deeper you go, the more the world opens up.
Shapeshifting companion (Henki) - absorb creature forms found throughout the world, each with unique combat and traversal abilities
Handcrafted open world - multiple seamlessly connected biomes with distinct environments, inhabitants, and stories
Up to 4-player co-op - mix local split-screen and online players in the same session, simultaneously
Group quest dialogue - Follow the same quest dialogue and suggest options using your cursor
Charming voxel-style art - a handcrafted blocky world with a warm, inviting visual identity

The game is buggy but my original reason to not recommend the game was just my brother messing up and I don't know how to change a negative review into no review.
Game is indeed still in early access, though I already had a blast while playing solo. What that means: - there are bugs, but the devs are quite responsive about them. - some areas are not yet implemented (though what is there with quests and such should already keep you busy for a good 10 hours now, even before you go and collect all the collectible things around the world). - there are graphical glitches, some loading stutters and some other minor things - at least keyboard control worked fine for me. - stuff is not balanced, and loot does not (yet) feel rewarding as aside from armor/damage and weight it does not have any other stats. Try the demo, have a look at the roadmap when it comes and then see if it is fun for you as well.
Gutes spiel nur leider ist das Inventar zu schnell vollgemüllt was gut währe wenn es wi bei Obilivion eine Bodenlose truhe geben würde wo mann alles reintuhen könnte :D
In the quest - Mystery of henki , there is Find Crystellion , when I go to the island there is no crstellion spawning, nor does the cave exist, also the water mechancsi is god awful , he is not able to dive inside water properly . Fix these, please. Rating 6/10
Very nice game! I love it... Feels like cube world... R.I.P. Only "negative" thing is... It works on the steam deck but cloud gaming is not available at the moment, so you can't play it on both with same game save. You need to solve it by Manuel data transfer. Really good game! It is the money worth. Best regards.
games good so far but long ways to go, dont wonder too much cause lots of stuff is still under construction. Farmers Mansion physically says Farmers Mansion on it haha
Taival is a really promising co-op adventure with a lovely sense of exploration. The colourful voxel world is fun to wander through, there’s plenty to experiment with through crafting, professions and skill trees, and the Henki companion adds a lot of charm. It’s still in Early Access, so there are a few rough edges, but the foundations are strong and the developers seem active and responsive. Definitely worth checking out if you enjoy relaxed exploration, co-op games and discovering things at your own pace.
