Beware the admin with delusions of grandeur and his hind-kissing posse. How does this sound: - the top player for player kills on the server is an admin - admins can ban you if they don't like you; look at my screenshots for this game to see how this happened - my first chat ban was for 1.9 YEARS; if this doesn't scream "abuse of power" I don't know what is, here's the gist of the conversation I captured with screenshots: What occurred prior: A much higher level player attacked and quickly killed me as I wandered past his base; I took exception because this was hardly sporting and it appeared an exploit of the combat mechanic was used to force me to have this battle. The player at first claimed I was added to a battle he had been having with a 'zombie boss' but then changed his story has his apparant groupies egged him on to say that I was too close to his base. We enter the conversation after the admin and his groupie are insisting I had ample warning while I'm telling other people to stay away from him because he's the #1 player killer on the server and active in the trade channel (inviting victims in, no doubt): Groupie 1: and [admin] is very clear stay away Me: Yea, zero warning watsoever is very 'clear' Me: I'm the one warning people to stay away G1: someone xcall the wahmbulance Admin: if you want to want, warn, dont insult me. Me: Okay, and how about being honest rather than writing lies, saying you only attacked because there were zombies before being honest Admin: I been fighting that zombie boss that appeared for more than an hour beside my home Admin: I have enough of your trolling Admin: I warn you to crease this conversaion Me: You run the game now? Groupie 2: He is an admin G2: So yes he does Admin: from your first line of insult, i been tolerating. Admin: and you have to keep going on and on G2: I'd love to see mobib's face right now Groupie 3: lol Me: Oh no, don't threaten to kick me out of a free game where an 'admin' tops the player kill leaderboard* *at this point I believe the players are trolling me with empty threats... what game has an admin doing this? G2: why is it that people get so pissed when admins actually enjoy the game? Me: Because serious gamers remember who(sic) that sort of thing plays out - EVE Online and CCP? Hello? G3: actually [admin] does help ALOT he spends most of his time telling us noobs how to get started ... G1: anyone got a location on this newb I am bored enough to walk half the map and spawn camp him lol Me: You don't need to be sporting, and that speaks to your character G2: and you whining speaks of yours Me: I'm pointing out that players should steer clear of [admin]; you have a problem with that? Admin: < plays the game like a zombie, I will aggro anyone i wish if u come near [admin] > Me: Seems like it's good advice G1: your whining about fair Admin: < i have always said, so >* *not exactly a new-player-friendly game when THIS is the sort of egomanical admin in the game [later the same day] Me: How does one build metal plates? Admin: I cant afford the time to be 'friendly' or it will seems 'partial' in my duty Admin: < Stay away from [admin], the serial Killer > Groupie 4: haha, I like that you are like that Me: Nice to see I'm renting out space in [admin]'s head too... Admin: 'troll' bearing a grudge Me: You're the one that brought it up, [admin] Admin: I will shut the trolls up, before they even intend. At this point I was banned for almost 2 years from chat after the admin was clearly trolling me. Alexander Chipurnykh needs to clean up his game.

TL;DR - Admin Xas has banned you for reading this review. Pr0s: - Neat idea for a game. C0ns: - Admins are immature arseholes. - Horribly executed game. - Travel more than anything - Die before you get anywhere better - No tutorial - No explanitory tooltips - Xas is a whiney b!tch with a ban hammer

I can forgive the early access, the banal graphics, the sudden drawing into combat after clicking "help" on the technology window, the overwhelming odds a newbie has to fight against (40 zombies? Really?), and the complete lack of tutorial. Hey, it was free to play. What I cannot ever forgive is draconian banning for "daring to discuss the chat rules in chat" or "disagreeing with the admin". People who were civil and polite in their questions got banned while I watched. This is unacceptable to me, and why I'll be uninstalling this game. I've noted that admins who do this kind of thing in games are usually petty tyrants, who impose their own "order" in the most dishonorable way you can imagine. Said admins are usually not able to defend their own banning in public, which is why they ban others who question their banning. This is also why enlightened developers made chat filters: so they don't spend time and money hiring dishonorable admins. Chat filters are cheaper, more effective, and prevent some arbitrary dishonorable admin from going power crazy and driving away good people from a game. I recommend you stay well away from this game, lest you be banned for daring to communicate.

Overall, I would say this is an excellent pre-alpha game. A lot of the game mechanics are intuative and fun. The combat can be dynamic, and there can be excellent elements of teamplay and co-operation. The player community is generally helpful and understanding towards newer players. The bans handed out by the chat mods are, on the most part, entirely fair and justified. The game dev has done an excellent job creating a fun, playable, game that is addictive and compelling once you get into it. However there is a flip side to this. As good as the game itself is, the admin community is appauling. Myself and multiple other players felt forced to quit the game after allegations of cheating were publicly raised against us by the Admin team. After days of fighting in the forums it turned out that there was no evidence to support these claims and they were withdrawn by the Developer. The gameplay can be repetative and grindy, as with any crafting game, however if you use teamwork and set personal goals then the time flies by. As the game is still pre-alpha it does not hold your hand, but expects you to hit the ground running. In summary, this is an excellent pre-alpha game with great potential, but with a heavy handed over zealous admin staff. Until both the game and the Admin community has further improved I recommend that you tread very lightly, and think hard before investing any real money into the game.

I could take a steaming dump and it would still be of better quality than this dung pile. Interesting concept, but so was the Titanic. Extremely novice bugs, poorly implemented gameplay in every aspect, and a moderation team that rivals the Gestapo. For christ's sake the game was released while it was being hosted on the owner's home computer. The current server can be compared to a poorly adjusted toaster. And to make matters worse, this nowhere-near-finished school project was released with microtransactions built into it. Uninstall button worked flawlessly The only part of this game that wasn't painful. 10/10 would fap with blender again.

Where to start. well I have been playing this game for 5 days now. this is not you typical negative review so if you are reading to hear me bash the game you are reading the wrong review. instead I want to point out what makes the game great and why the bad out wieghs the good so much for me to leave a negative review. ~pro 1. Game is really truely Great and provides hours of entertainment for casual players and hardcore players alike. 2. This game is indeed better than the mine craft francise and has a wealth of room for improvements. definatly A game that rewards hard work. ~ con 1. No usable guide is provided in english beyond picking up sticks and rocks. 2. there is no way to learn to use the Ui for anyone who isnt russian. so althought the game and the controls are great over 90% of non-russian speaking people will never know how good the game reallly is 3. All the negative reviews about the Moderators are absolutly true. Especially that Exas dude. He is absolutely childish and is ruining the game for all non-russian speaking players. the reason there are so few players is because this and other moderators only want their friends to play the game. So to close my review I must say that it pains me to see such a great game brought down by mis-management of the moderators. the language barrier i was able to deal with because the game rewards you for science and the wiser players have all made mistakes so its normal, even joked about by most players. And the fact that the game isn't popular couldn't keep me from playing either. But what will abe the reason I never return to this game is people like Xas. And even though i will miss decimating huge hordes of zombies with Brass knuckles It brings me great sadness to say R.I.P. to Tactical craft :'(

The game itself is at best a meh... if it didnt directly appeal to a little of my ocd and nostalgia I wouldn't have the near 1k hours I have... oh yeah a lot of that is idling to gain Tech Points, not 1k hours of actual play. The real problem is the people behind this game. The actual team as far as I can tell is in a word...Nationalistic DO NOT GIVE ANY MONEY TO THESE HATERS If you are not Russian you do not get the same treatment. Rather than go into ALL of the various places I have seen this exhibit itself I offer the following comparisons. 5 players had their ranking stripped for specific types of resource harvesting, because it is claimed they used auto clickers to do so. The proof appears to be thes people played for 90 minutes at a time with no substantial breaks, not every click was at the same frquency or any of the usual flags. Literally they played too hard At the same time the #1 ranked player happens to be a chat mod, he stated in chat he was asked if he autoclicked he said no they moved on and went after the rest of the players. Yes the mod claims he was investigated so one argue there is fairness, no player was asked if they autoclicked, they simply were named, shamed, and punished without warning. The proof was flimsy at best... the lesson... dont play this game seriuosly you will get punished for liking it. **3 days later the scores are restored but only after days of various moderators insulting users, calling them liars, deleting posts. http://i.imgur.com/VD2LlPL.png In this screenshot you see the developer admitting they can't prove anyone cheated, and offering to undo the punishment. Xas asks for people that were wronged to apolgize to him. (I simply cannot believe the balls on this guy asking the victims to apologize to him) I ask the developers to apologize to the people they shamed in the news. Xas (thats right the moderator) insults me (again). The second incident I mention happened about a month previous to this one. I prefer not to take individual incidents as examples but I like this for how directly this viloates rules and how the shown responses to a russian differ to that of the english speakers. 2 players are discussing prices in trade, a 3rd related player who I think is related to the prices takes offense and gets insulting, and then racist. I didnt recognize any moderators on so I screen shot the conversation for later. http://imgur.com/a/lIZ2U the tldr: is rezoq1 accuses elisa of being a liar out of the blue, then says its because "Elisa for me personally, to you there is no problem, I just thought you all at the gene level cheat, if you are special then sorry" I brought this to a mod later and showed him the screen shots. The result was rezoq1 was chat banned for 10 minutes. He then got angry when he got back on yelled in chat and got a 60 minute ban. The player mypethk(something actually cyrrilic) in the screenshots I suspect to be a russian mod, no confirmed mods were on at this time. I contrast this with Purebattles ban, while I thought it was harsh I didnt disagree with the sentiment, the first time. The fact that everytime his ban is up its renewed without him ever gettng to talk is ludicrous. Purebattle wasnt even particularly trollish, but he also isnt russian. If you look at the reviews by language a pattern is very very obvious. The Russian players are simply not having the same terrible experience with the moderation that the English speakers are. I screen shot the top rated reviews for the first 3 pages in both english and russian and the difference is quite clear. Its obvious there will be no meaningful change and English speaking players will continue to be shafted. DO NOT GIVE ANY MONEY TO THESE HATERS
