Tactical Command

Pretty great game for the price. The leveling system and the different weapons are just enough to keep you engaged and the overall gameplay is fun, once the minimal learning curve is overcome. Overall a neat little game and something that I would like to see more of in the way of content / balance. Pretty good little find.

It plays a little like Mount and Blade, not sure if its my cup of tea. Best to look for it on sale, if you want something to do for a weekend!

whyd they do this then abandon it? dont buy this, dont enable the kind of developers that put this crap on the market.

I've played for about 3 hours and I've already seen all the content the game has to offer. Is that a bad thing? Not necessarily, it's a cute little sci-fi mount and blade experience, with a few bugs. But it's very playable, and pretty fun. I hope there's some kind of roadmap, I'd adore to see more content. What's here is good and cute, but between 4 mechs, 12 settlements, and maybe 20 something battle maps, it's a tight package at this time. There's a good variety of weapons, especially for the mechs. Commander weapons seem to be the same as your soldiers, except amped up. They vary from absolutely worthless (The Stinger, firing 3 rockets that go nowhere near where you point them and do very little splash) to making you a one man army, even without the mech. (Incendiary grenade launcher stands out as an insanely strong weapon.) I suggest keeping army size around the recommended 25, up to 50. Above that the game gets unstable. I played most of my game on 50, and it ran well. I tried 75 once, and it instantly crashed. Once you get a mech, a couple good weapons for it, and some of the later call-ins, you're basically free winning every battle. The opponent gets no mechs, no abilities, and no commander. Just soldiers, and in sieges, relatively weak turrets. It feels like a demo for a larger game, but... In a good way? It's fun, it has some cool concepts, but I wish it had more meat. But hey, if I find myself wanting more, then I can't really say anything but yeah, it was fun. Just know what you're getting into. When you finish the campaign it gives you an objective that sounds like it'll take you to another planet, to see more content, but once you actually activate it, it just ends the game.

On this little planet humanoid life consists of two different but very similar species. Their young are called Pistolman and Pistoleer. These young individuals exhibit the very remarkable trait of evolving their battlefield specialisation under the influence of a remarkable material we have termed "coin". When they have savaged a sufficent number of enemy humanoids on the battlefield they can consume a small pile of this "coin" to mutate and go down one of three main paths of adulthood and veterancy. their BDU and innate weaponry changing alongside their bodies to better suit their new role in life. Off-world commanders are advised to study and master this behaviour as a vital means to achieve victory. Further, we must study this "coin" as it exhibits the ability to instantly heal the infirm, repair mechs as well as induce the stable and effective mutation of soldiers. Commanders beware, however! As your physiology is alien to this world you cannot benefit from instant healing via "coin" and have to rely on your medical training and goold old time to recuperate. This Is Hella Fun! Will recomend. Note: i managed to sicuence brake the game by capturing a fort before the tutorial told me to. Currently a bit bare bones in terms of character progression /skils /skins /etc There are currently two commanders you can chose from. Would like to see more air units and tanks or enemy mechs, would kill to get to play as a gasmask commander
