Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Warto było sięgnąć po tą pozycje i zmierzyć się z SHODAN. Kosmiczny survival horror pełną parą: skradanie, liczenie apteczek i naboi zapisywanie haseł w notatniku z audiologów i pełne plątaniny korytarze.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 15: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I never played the original version, so I can't speak to how different, or upgraded, or how true this stays to the original. There are some aspects of the game that make me think it is a pretty true to the original. I really enjoyed the game. The art style is very interesting, and I also found the story interesting. I thought it was fun to explore Citadel Station, but I did run into some frustration. I appreciate that the game doesn't hold your hand, but there is also no quest log, which can make it difficult to remember what your objective actually is. Outside of that, it is an exceptional game.
This is so F***ing awesome. if you played the original you know how old school it was, this is a really cool modernization of it and kept the vibe and atmosphere and feeling the same. Insanely well done job by Nightdive as usual!
O jogo é bão. Mistura FPS, enigmas e terror. Me lembrou Turok 1 e 2 do N64, mas com menos ação e mais terror.
Great modern game with old game vibes.
Imagine a 25-hour cyberpunk escape room... in space. With all the old dungeon crawler gameplay and principles. That's how you get System Shock. It might have gained a very distinct new art style and modernized visual presentation, but gameplay-wise it's the same unabashedly old school game that not only refuses to hold your hand - it actively pushes you away. It is an uncompromising, completely non-cinematic and gameplay-first experience that will do its best to frustrate and inconvenience you at every step of your way, to make sure you know you are not wanted on this space station. - Most enemies will take you down with just a couple of shots, even on medium difficulty. Meds are rather scarce, definitely too few of them for the player to afford the head-on rushing through the game. You will have to pick your battles and fight them smart, utilizing your whole arsenal where possible to minimize the health loss. Or just rush the boss with berserk patch and laser rapier, your choice. - Your inventory, as well as your "storage" lift are both tighter than a cat's ass but you will somehow have to manage them... or just leave some weapons somewhere on the level where you can find them again if you need. - You will be forced to read and pay attention to every single audio log and email, and all the numbers inside to figure out where to go, what to do and what codes go where. You don't get a convenient quest journal where you can easily look up that code - if you haven't written that out for yourself, you will have to actually go through the list and search for it again, assuming you even found that code. Oh, you forgot one number from the code when you destroyed the CPU nodes two levels ago? You're gonna backtrack there now and you can't do anything about it. - What, you want hotkeys for flashlight, item highlight, speed boots and envirosuit? No, you spoiled brat, you will have to open the inventory and manually click on the icon every time you want to enable or disable one of those. You have the option to bind those to hotkeys, but it's unbound by default and the game never tells you you can even do that. And you know what? All those things just add to the experience. Personally I enjoyed the System Shock remake, but it might be very far from being a game for everyone. Here's hoping that the sequel will get the same glowup at some point.
I really tried to enjoy this game, and did, but it isn't great and I can't recommend it. The environments are not varied, the dialogue (which is the best part) is easy to skip as soon as SHODAN starts talking 8 enemies will spawn and kill you, The hacking is meh, the atmosphere is great, but the effect it gives lasts only for a few hours. It is a pain to run around the ship and figure out WHAT YOUR OBJECTIVE IS. Sometimes we are guided where to go next, but a lot of the time I just have no idea so I run around trying to fill out the map. Some might say that having no objective markers is a good thing, which it can be, but I'll take objective markers over running around completely unsure what to do. Even Morrowind has a journal that you can refer to, The audio logs in SSR are no help and a complete clusterfuddle.

I've only played the remake, never played the OG, but oh my god this game blows. The map is awful, I couldn't tell you how to get anywhere from anywhere, I've never had that issue in any game nearly as bad as this. The visual design is atrocious I can't tell what's interactable and what's just for decoration so I ended up just clicking everything slightly glowy to make sure it wasn't an interactable. Combat is really just hide behind cover and fire when an enemy takes a break from firing. Every time a cyberspace section came up it took everything to not uninstall the game. Go play Deus Ex revision instead, way better
