Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Sep 10 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Important: This game expects you to at least have a basic understanding of how the computer works. We encourage you to try the Demo to get an idea of how the game is.
This is our world now. The world of the electron and the switch.
SYSCALL is a reverse-engineering and assembly optimization puzzle game inside a private 1990s warez BBS. You will be writing assembly programs, reading listings, tracing the machine, changing the code, and shipping the crack.

Every CRACK release is a small SYSCALL CORE program. You are able to trace programs, inspect assembly instructions, get hints and watch registers move, in order to find the way to TRACE, CRACK and PATCH programs.
CRACK: Read the listing, find the secret input key, and bypass the protection.
PATCH: Fit the smallest fix into fixed edit slots, then run the test battery.
WORM: Program a dynamic up to nine-core rack, route values across ports, and cut lines and cycles.
SCOPE: Write firmware until the live trace locks onto the ghost signal.

SYSCALL has 200+ authored puzzles across four modes, but the clear is not the end. The board keeps records. CRACK tracks clean and swift solves. PATCH scores moves. WORM scores lines and cycles against REMOTE posts. SCOPE rewards tight firmware and low power. A working answer gets you in. A clean answer gets your name on the board.
Dial in, pick a node on the NETWORK MAP, read the mail, check the notes, and work the releases. The board has PHILES that teach the SYSCALL CORE, crew messages, NFOs, greets, records, and side tools. CANVAS is a freeform assembly pixel toy. TRACKER is a four-channel chip-tune maker you can set as the board music.

Every screen is playable with a gamepad, including text entry. You can write assembly on your favorite handheld gaming device or your TV! SYSCALL includes a tuned on-screen keyboard, controller command bars, readable scaling, reduced-motion options, and offline play with no accounts or backend.
Reviews
A fantastic collection of assembly language puzzles varying from replicating a data pattern ("scope"), reversing a password via reading algorithm code ("crack"), fixing code ("patch"), and writing your own code across multiple blocks & inputs to satisfy expected outputs ("worm"). It throws you right in, which can be disorienting at first. But, it has in-game documentation (and optional hints) to assist you with how the game and assembly coding works, once you figure out what it's trying to say (it reads like it's poorly translated, and I have no idea if that's intentional). Having a basic understanding of binary, assembly and/or programming in general definitely helps a lot! Despite that, I feel like this game is incredibly overlooked (seriously, how am I the first review?!). Once I got into it, I found it quite satisfying to solve the puzzles and move across the nodes. As of writing, I'm still going through the beginner puzzles (some of which are stupidly easy once you know how to play), but there's 200 or so puzzles so I'm looking forward to the challenges that await! Also the entirety of this game is a single EXE that fits within 19 MB. That alone should tell you this game was made with love and is worth your time.
