For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
I spent 24 rage inducing minutes in this game. I wanted my money back, but then I remembered I got a free review copy for this game. AAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!! Seriously, you can look up the community discussions and see I gave the developer feedback prior to release in the hopes the game would be improved. So I'm not some troll just looking to bash a bad game. Quite the oppposite, I love VR and want there to be lots of good VR games for us. I want good devs to be successful selling on Steam so we get more good games. In this hope, I gave constructive feedback on July 19, 2018. The game is now released and guess what? No updates. Game is the same now as it was then. Now, game came out of Early Access. So there's a chance the game can be improved immensely. But will the game be updated? It's not looking good so far. The only good thing about the release is the price and it's a fair price ... if the game worked. However, it doesn't. I replayed the game and all the same problems I noticed when I first played are still there. Missed hit detection! Major problem. Scales way off on shuriken in your hands. Same number of limited songs ... which you can increase by moving .mp3 to game folder. Basic gameplay. One environment. No difficulty settings. Is that worth $5? I would say not with problem #1. Rate 3/10. So if you want to donate to the devs maybe they'll make a better game, but at this point it's a donation in the hopes they improve game in the future because you're not getting value for your current money on its current state of playability. See my original community post below. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My experience playing the game Thanks for the review copy. I'm going to give some harsh criticism and I hope you guys can do something to improve the game between now and the day of release. However, if I'm being honest, this game is not good at all right now. Positives: + love the music + nice neon background Negatives: - gameplay is terrible (I'll explain below) - shuriken graphics are not good, not to scale - there needs to be difficulty options: easy, normal, hard, etc - leaderboards - some indication of when you're about to fail (music will stop), just ended after a few misses and wasn't sure how many were too many - no fail mode So the biggest thing is the gameplay. It's not good. The throwing mechanic just doesn't feel fun or intuitive. I don't even know which motion you guys want for throwing the shuriken. Is it like throwing a baseball motion? Or is it like dealing cards at a table motion? This gets repetitive fast and can't be the only game mechanic. This is a ninja right? Why does he not use a sword as well? Or try to evade getting hit? Even in Beat Saber (which I assume is your inspiration), you have to dodge targets. There needs to be more in the gameplay for it to be fun. Also, I hit the target straight on several times and it didn't register as a hit. I could see the shuriken hitting the target and nothing happened. Why does it register sometimes and not othertimes? Lastly, the throwing of the shuriken and the music beats have nothing to do with each other. So this is not a music rhythm game? It's a throwing shooting gallery with synth music? I don't know, the gameplay should have something to do with the beat of the music. Anyways, that's my review of your game. If I had to review it now, I would have to give it a negative review. Probably a 3/10. However, believe it or not, I don't want to give a negative review. I love VR and I want VR games to succeed. So I hope you guys take my criticism to heart and can improve the game. Good luck!

Even though this is cheap, I cannot recommend it. The controls are broken and there is nothing to do beyond throwing shurikens at targets.
Виртуальный тир, в котором берёте на себя роль ниндзя и поражаете цели сюрикенами. Сомнительное удовольствие.
Played On: HTC Vive
This review will continue to be regularly updated until the final version is released. Synthwave sure has made a comeback in the last few years. The sleek retro-futuristic style coupled with neon pinks, blues, and purples makes for a relaxing and nostalgic atmosphere. Enter Synth Ninja, the introductory game from publisher/developer Unlit Interactive. It's a different type of rhythm game, where you throw shurikens at incoming targets; red shurikens for red holes, and blue for blue holes. The game currently houses one environment, but the developer is supposed to be adding more during the Early Access release. There's a much needed tutorial and practice system in place, which you'll need to use prior to jumping into the gameplay mode. The shuriken throwing takes a bit of getting used to, but it only really takes maybe 10 minutes to get good enough to nail almost every incoming target. At this time there are only a handful of Synthwave/Retrowave tracks, which can be added to the in-game playlist, but you can also import your own music to play along to. Now as with most games, Synth Ninja does have its share of drawbacks. Most notably that there is not a procedural beat system in place yet. However, the developer claims to be working on implementing this feature. The notes come in far too infrequently, leaving long pauses where the player is doing nothing at all. A difficulty system would also be a nice addition. There also seems to be a problem where the shurikens go straight through targets sometimes; I had this happen on multiple occasions, despite being dead center with my throws. The latter issue is especially concerning since the game seems to run on a three-strike system; you miss three times, and your run is over. Even though this is never officially mentioned anywhere, nor is there a system in place to tell you how many misses you have left. Then again, this might not be the case at all, as it seemed at first that my runs were ending abruptly until I noticed that a target got past me when one of them ended. In either scenario, it needs to be fixed or mentioned to the player. Overall, Synth Ninja has some underlying potential despite its humble beginning. The VR market is starting to get flooded with rhythm based games, and this little title obviously doesn't hold a candle to the likes of BeatSaber or Audio Shield. However, with a bit more polish and some additional features, it could be a nice hidden gem. I highly recommend the developer to think about adding some unlockable shurikens, or some other in-game challenges to keep the players wanting to dive in again and again.
Rating: 2.5/5.0 - It's not awful, but it's not great.
The VR Network Curator | Group Click for More The developer provided a free copy of this game for review, through The VR Network's Curation page.
Synth Ninja is yet another construction kit template copy+paste from serial shovelware pushers, Volens Nolens Games. These guys (or just one guy flipping accounts to mislead gamers) do nothing but copy premade game templates and game tutorials, fill out a few things/stamp out basic levels using the construction kit templates, slap on an asset flipped set of sprites/assets, and dump them on Steam and into DailyIndieGame bundles as cash grabs. Trying to get paid for someone else's game templates, assets... at best, this is shovelware, at worst, it's a scam/cash grab. Today they've taken an extremely basic template for a VR game and slapped some Neon looking sprites and ripped off a "synthwave" track, hoping to cash in like RewindApp did with his asset flip of that racing game. It's a basic stationary shooter where you stand still and throw stuff using your VR controllers at various blobs that come at you... incredibly shallow, pointless gameplay. But then this was never intended as a game for gamers... it's just a shovelware cash grab. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. The game is very badly optimised, with low framerates and janky gameplay even on a high end rig. Developers must take the time and polish their games and ensure they are optimised and will play well on any potential customers system. The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the 1990s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers. This seems to have been made a VR exclusive to prevent any comparison with non-VR 3D games, a comparison that this game would fail very badly at. Developers must learn that while VR is great, if the only thing that makes the game great is the VR, then the game isn't great at all. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. Synth Ninja is relatively cheap at $2 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price and the unethical nature of the developer, this is impossible to recommend.
This eerily silent vaporwave game has shouty aiming and no curve when throwing. All you do is throw throwing stars at the right color with no music unless you're like me and notice you have to manually choose a song each time or you don’t get music. 3/10 For more short reviews check out this: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/Gaming_made_cheap
