Великолепно!
Has this developer ever heard of a good game? - The game is very sluggish, and plays like a mobile game. - The gameplay is mediocre at best. There are no options to change your resolution nor can you change any keybids. - Developers should've just let this atrocity of a game, to stay on the XBOX 360, or at least make a some what enjoyable game. + Pretty Cheap 3/10
about 15 years ago i played the original switchball and i loved everything about it. however switchball hd isn't just a remake but it's a different game altogether with new maps and new game mechanics. that's good news and bad news at the same time. good because old fans get fresh food. bad because the old idea of a ball switching between stone, wood and paper got watered-down with even more material types and actual power ups. and sadly that really doesn't add as much to the game as you would hope. it's not so much about the puzzles anymore but about getting from start to finish as fast and smooth as possible. you always need to change form for one or two tasks and then switch again for another one or two tasks. and again and again. this way it's more like a chore than a fun game mechanic. also there are very few secret passages hidden along the way. all in all i didn't enjoy this game as much as i did the original switchball. parts of the game were not properly tested and sometimes you'll need to go back to the last checkpoint or restart the whole level because some other balls or crates or other world items fly off the rails and can't be used to solve puzzles anymore. sometimes crates manage to somehow balance on 3 corners and don't trigger the pressure switch underneath. pushing crates through holes can get them stuck and you need to restart yet again. sometimes pushed items slide along a tiny ledge that's like 2 pixels high making the respective puzzle even more obnoxious to deal with. each one a small annoyance but together they really add up and impact the enjoyment of the game. you can disable the timer but getting through a level as fast and efficiently as possible is obviously the point of the game. don't get me wrong, i still had some good fun here. but i feel kind of disappointed with this new version of the game. i would have preferred to see the original pure version of the game on steam. finishing and 100% completing the game took 10 hours without outside help. and at that point i was actually pretty tired of this game. switching form every 30 seconds just for the sake of it and the problems mentioned above really had an impact on my motivation to keep going. if you are a ball pushing connoisseur then go for it. but if you're not you'll probably end up more annoyed than entertained real quick.
really good cloth
For the the second, the third and half of the fourth world (the first was a lame start) it was fun and the psychics was tolerable, but it gets way worse the more you go forward, and it will come to a point where physics will work only if you have an infinite patience and you have the luck of having the 10% chance of any piece of any enigma working. The fun fact is that I was refunding it by mistake at the start having bought a similar game at the same time that was meh, but now I think it would have been better if I actually refunded this game too from the start. Also there are almost no shortcuts, so the 10% chance of physics also applies to speedrunners, so if you want to do time trials and/or do interesting enigmas, go somewhere else
Recomendable.
GREAT FOR THRILL SEEKING PUZZLE SOLVERS. EXCELLENT ENVIRONMENT DESIGN AND AMBIENCE.
It's a good game, but later levels seem more like having precision over controlling the ball rather than figuring out how to reach from point A to point B. If it is a puzzle game, difficulty should come from the latter aspect rather than the former. Other than that, it is good enough.
This was a fun puzzle platformer back on xbla. Still fun today but with an HD upgrade.
