Swipepi is a casual yet clever puzzle game built around the idea of filling a board with one continuous, uninterrupted line. You begin with a single light-colored block and gradually paint the entire grid in a rainbow gradient. Each move extends your line in a chosen direction until it hits something: either the edge of the board, a filled cell, or a blocker - depending on what it meets first in its path. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3575734468 This straightforward mechanic is enriched by a few other crafty ones: portals teleport your active cell across the board, and some blockers must be hit a set number of times before being cleared. The levels can be approached in a logical manner rather than brute-forcing your way to a solution, as your possible moves are limited at every step (you can move in a maximum of four directions). Additionally, the level layouts are usually designed to guide you toward reasoning out the solution instead of endlessly trying combinations On Android, the game is free-to-play but comes with several restrictions. You’ll need to watch ads every four levels or for unlocking a new skin for your starter block. You only receive three hints and three undos for the entire game unless you purchase more through in-app purchases. On some other platforms, Swipepi is limited to 100 levels, with no way to gain more hints or undos after the initial three. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3575734431 The Steam version is essentially a premium port that removes all these limitations. Every cosmetic is unlocked from the start, hints and undos are unlimited, and there are no in-app purchases at all. Instead, the game is offered at a one-time price of $2.99. It includes 500 handcrafted levels that are relaxing, thoughtfully designed, and usually take only seconds to solve. This makes Swipepi perfect for short play sessions in between other activities. Steam achievements are planned to be added soon. It also feels nice to see a completed game be listed under the 'Perfect Games' list on user accounts, especially on mine.
There are easier levels consisting of making fun-looking images or shapes; just really enjoyable seeing the image form by my actions of moving the slidable white square block.

MY NEGATIVES

There's no confirm dialog on using a hint during a level in case of accidental inputs; imagine if accidentally pressing the 'H' keyboard key, or the hint button with the mouse cursor, that would mean, and it would be worse the further you're in the game, if say you're at level 500, the final level, and accidentally used a hint, that would mean having to replay the entire game again assuming the save file got restarted or deleted.
The 'Hint' function is more of giving the entire level solution than just giving 1 valid move on what to do next; I completed the game without using the hint system because of the 'Gold Brain' achievement to get it without using hints at all, so I checked how the hint system works, so I'm a bit baffled this just gives you the entire solution instead of a single move, considering that one of the games by the same developer, Fill Multicolor, upon using that game's hint system, it gives the next 5 valid moves. If this is intended behavior, I think it should've been called a 'Level Solution' instead.
There's no way to rebind or change keyboard key controls; I instinctively keep having my hand on the WASD keyboard keys to control the white square for movement because I've been playing games lately that use the WASD keyboard keys, but the only keyboard keys for movements are the arrow keys, and I instead reverted back to just swiping the movements with the mouse cursor.
Game lacks the reset progress function; alternatively, I could try finding where the save file is and delete it, but I'm having a bit of a hard time doing so. This would be helpful for people who want to speedrun the game, have someone else play the game, or to try and get the 'Gold Brain' Steam achievement. Related note, I tried to also reset progress on Fill Multicolor, one of their other games they made, because the game has added new achievements since finishing the game that I can't earn anymore unless I reset progress.
There are no more levels beyond level 500; this is not from the game itself necessarily, but the Steam game page, which currently says, "offers over 500 hand-crafted levels" at one paragraph, but one of the bulletpoints says it's "500 hand-crafted puzzles". If without YouTube videos or external sources, the only way to find out is having to buy the game, which I feel you should not confuse or deceive people wanting to buy your game. It would be a different story if there were more levels added, which I'm not really expecting since it's up to the dev, but it would definitely be nice.
Exiting the game is only possible with the 'Esc' keyboard key; there's no way to exit the game with entirely the computer mouse.
Audio volume controls on sound effects and music is only on or off, with no way to fine-tune it; I couldn't play the game while I was in a voice call with people, and I wanted to hear the game, but not turn off the audio entirely. I had to play the game eventually when I'm by my own.
The game's additional obstacles being the numbered breakable blocks and teleporters feel like they aren't used to the fullest extent, making the game feel it ended too early pacing-wise; usually, I'm content with what I'm given when playing these kinds of games, because for most of these types of games, if lacking a level editor, they would've exhausted whatever possibility the amount and types of puzzles can be made before it feels like too much repetition. Again, it doesn't have to be entirely new obstacles to be made for this game that is the solution of this kind of sentiment I have with the game, even though that would be pretty nice to see, I just felt that as I'm reaching towards the end, I was thinking of encountering having numbered breakable blocks go up to 3 or maybe 4, or a second pair of teleporters, maybe multiple but distinctively different not only color but shape, as that would've go really wild with it with a mix of fun and difficult levels.
Swipepi is a pretty nice game to play through, especially as a nice breather from the more involved video games for the past couple of days that require stronger attention and focus. Admittedly, it was bit on the easier side compared to similar games I played, as the only levels I truly had trouble were level 236, level 343, and level 446, which took longer than usual to solve without hints, so I was able to go through the game faster than I expected. The one thing specific to this game I have a slight issue being the game's obstacles aren't maximized of their potential enough with wanting to encounter numbered breakable blocks going up to 3 or 4, and multiple teleporters. Notably, some of the issues with Swipepi seem might also apply with most of their other games they've released on Steam, such as a lack of exit button on the main menu with the mouse cursor (which Fill Multicolor has but not their other games as far as I know), a variable volume slider, lacking the ability of resetting progress, and being able to rebind keyboard keys if applicable. AleC Games, I thank you for bothering to update yours games on Steam, you did address some of the issues, one of which all of your games currently have Steam achievements. The reason I pointed these issues out is I like for your games to succeed and help make more of these types of games released on Steam instead of them having them kept on mobile devices.
Version française en-dessous. I bought the pack (Swipepi, Fill Multicolor, Fill Fill and ARROW). And I am very satisfied with this purchase (good investment). These games are very relaxing and allow me to disconnect when I need to (I focus solely on the game and even feel like I'm getting smarter!). I must admit that I quickly became addicted, and now I play every night (it helps me disconnect from my often very stressful days). There are hundreds of levels for each game (if not thousands—I haven't finished the games yet), and as soon as I finish, I feel like I'm going to start them again. A must have. J'ai acheté le pack complet (Swipepi, Fill Multicolor, Fill Fill and La flèche).
Swipepi is a puzzle game developed by Alexis Clemente and published by AleC Games that embraces a philosophy of simplicity while delivering a surprisingly deep and rewarding gameplay experience. Built around a straightforward objective of covering every available tile on a board, the game demonstrates how a basic concept can evolve into a compelling series of mental challenges. Rather than relying on a story, character progression, or elaborate visual effects, it focuses entirely on puzzle-solving, allowing players to immerse themselves in a pure test of logic and planning. The game's greatest strength lies in how it gradually transforms an easy-to-understand mechanic into something far more demanding. Players control a small piece and swipe through levels in an attempt to fill every space correctly. The early puzzles act as an introduction, teaching the rules without overwhelming newcomers. As the game progresses, however, the layouts become more intricate and require careful consideration of every move. Success depends not on quick reactions but on analyzing the board, anticipating consequences, and finding the most efficient path to completion. One of the most impressive aspects of Swipepi is the sheer amount of content available. With more than 500 handcrafted levels, the game provides a substantial collection of puzzles that continuously build upon previously learned concepts. Handcrafted stages often offer a level of design quality that randomly generated content struggles to match, and that attention to detail is evident here. Each puzzle feels intentionally created to challenge specific skills, helping maintain a satisfying progression curve from beginning to end. Additional gameplay elements help keep the experience fresh throughout its lengthy campaign. Features such as teleporters and removable obstacles introduce new layers of complexity without abandoning the core mechanics that make the game enjoyable. Instead of dramatically changing the formula, these additions expand its possibilities, encouraging players to approach familiar situations in new ways. This careful introduction of mechanics ensures that the challenge evolves naturally while remaining accessible. Visually, Swipepi adopts a clean and minimalist style that suits its design perfectly. The presentation avoids unnecessary distractions, making every puzzle easy to read and understand. Bright colors and simple shapes create an appealing look while ensuring that players can focus entirely on solving the task at hand. While the graphics are not intended to compete with visually extravagant games, they serve their purpose exceptionally well by supporting clarity and usability. The atmosphere also contributes significantly to the overall experience. A calm and relaxing soundtrack accompanies the puzzles, creating a pleasant environment that encourages experimentation. Puzzle games can sometimes become frustrating when solutions are difficult to discover, but Swipepi counters this with a soothing presentation that helps maintain a sense of enjoyment even during more demanding stages. This balance between challenge and relaxation makes it suitable for both short gaming sessions and longer periods of focused play. Another notable quality is its accessibility. The rules are simple enough for casual players to grasp quickly, yet the later puzzles provide enough complexity to satisfy dedicated puzzle enthusiasts. Achieving this balance is not easy, and Swipepi handles it effectively by gradually increasing difficulty rather than relying on sudden spikes. The result is a game that remains welcoming while still offering meaningful challenges for those willing to invest time into mastering its mechanics. Its focused design may not appeal to every type of player. Those searching for a narrative-driven adventure, multiplayer competition, or a variety of gameplay systems may find the experience somewhat limited. Swipepi remains firmly committed to its puzzle-solving identity from beginning to end. However, for players who appreciate logic games and enjoy overcoming carefully designed challenges, this dedication to a single vision is one of the game's biggest strengths rather than a weakness. Overall, Swipepi succeeds as an engaging and thoughtfully designed puzzle title that proves simple ideas can still produce highly satisfying gameplay. Its extensive collection of handcrafted levels, steadily evolving mechanics, clean visual presentation, and relaxing atmosphere come together to create an experience that rewards patience, observation, and critical thinking. While it does not attempt to revolutionize the genre, it delivers exactly what puzzle fans seek: a large number of clever challenges that are enjoyable to solve and difficult to put down. Swipepi is a polished and content-rich puzzle game whose elegant mechanics and impressive number of handcrafted challenges make it a worthwhile experience for anyone who enjoys thoughtful, logic-based gameplay.
