This game is hard to give a solid recommendation to, but I will try. The mechanics of the game are so tight and fun: Quick rounds, really fun and fast gunplay, fun bright art style. Just all kinds of wacky 'fun' to be had here. The chip system for enhancements is simple and again, QUICK and allows you to make some exploitative builds as you go. No sprawling ability trees, no "+3% damage when dual wielding", none of that rubbish. Just quick, game-breaking fun. BUT! The game has some weird negatives. Firstly, the music is pants. Put on your own playlist to play this without the music making you sick after an hour. Although the gameplay loop is amazingly tight, the game itself is surprisingly shallow! The game has fantastic mechanics, but none of it feels particularly deep. It's so weird! The devs have a great game on their hands, but for the sake of some extra detail? A voice actor or two maybe? A story that isn't told on data pads that YOU WILL NOT READ? They could have done SO MUCH more with the framework that they have here, which, like I said, is solid and fun. If you're out for a fast, quick, FUN VR game, get this. But get it on sale because the devs cheaped out on the music, writing and general depth of the game.
TLDR: Game is too short and easy, won first try and it felt lackluster. Not even 2 hours of game for me. I might just be too good at this kind of game though. I doubt it. I came here because I thought it looked fun like similar titles such as Compound and Light Brigade. This game is both easier than Compound and much shorter than Light Brigade, and the story is so incredibly not there it's like every other VR title honestly. I played the tutorial, then started a run and beat the game first try. It wasn't hard either, was really just minorly inconvenienced to hold my arm out for shooting 80 minutes straight. I am refunding this game, I would like to act like I am somehow so amazing that skilled games are below me but I think this was just an example of a dev team who doesn't know how to balance things. If there was a more expanded story, a reason to do multiple runs, maybe NPC's or other things to give rational or some level of want to continue that would also fix it. I am ok playing easy games, but it if is easy and has a really weak story it's not really worth my attention at that point. Also, I checked for difficulty in every section of the settings but I couldn't find anything like that so I am assuming there isn't any NG+ like Light Brigade or mutations like Compound.
This game rocks, I've only played three vr rouge likes first light brigade then compound and both those games were extremely fun while having very different game play and sweet surrender has my favorite of the three to me (especially with the chip attachments that feel a bit like cyberware) this is like if cyberpunks style mixed with dooms fast paced action and gained robo-recalls gun play 10/10 you're doing yourself a dishonor by not playing this

i lige th ganme realy rely hrad bad great yse hello parcetamol
The best roguelite experience on VR. Amazing world with impact full gun play. The devs are still very involved and keep polishing this absolute beauty of a game.
