For a complex game, I bizarrely found it not complex enough. It's a very interesting concept but too often it feels like the player is turning cogs that don't properly interact with each other. I wouldn't say too much because I don't want to spoil but the following points might illustrate what I mean: 1) as the leader of a democratic country there is no real mechanism to get opinion polling on your decisions. Instead you make a reasonable choice only to be told "people don't like it". 2) whenever I play I make what seem to be sensible economic decisions (increase trade, goose the economy with Government spending etc) but these have no short- or long-term effects. I am told that I am generating economic growth but unemployment remains high (why?) and the economy remains in danger (why? the long-term outlook must be looking positive). 3) i do not control the Government in any meaningful way or link issues. Instead my Ministers tell me they are upset and want to resign over an issue X and I don't get the option to say "but I am doing Y which you want, stay and drive that through". Appreciate that I am asking a lot of what is essentially a book, but as a game this is ultimately disappointing - too many tools remain off limit to really feel like you're in control.

A nice visual novel with a politic focus, having some political sim mechanics. Overall I really enjoyed the story and gameplay (although its mostly dialogue, so you need to be aware of that). If you enjoy politics and like to read, I really believe you will enjoy this game. A solid 8/10 .
Brilliant storytelling even though there are some mistranslations here and there. Anton Rayne's story is very enlightening about real world issues leaders have to make and I think it will be the ideologically minded think twice about their ideological orientation. I recommend playing multiple times. There are three main political tracks and two ideological tracks you can take. I'm still not sure how many endings there are. I've played through twice at the time of writing and I thought it was absolutely fantastic. 10/10.
GOAT tier political narrative game with a multitude of interesting outcomes based on your actions, Torpor Games have completely knocked it out of the park with Suzerain and its also excellent DLC, which is an completely new campaign of the same high level. Strongest possible recommendation, Torpor Games have a rabid fan in me and I will be keenly awaiting their next projects.

An absolutely stunning political game! There are myriad different paths to take and every one has a different ending! There is nothing comparable to this, and I can also wholeheartedly endorse the DLC.
Dramatic, heavy and very expansive. It's an absolutely fantastic game if you have an interest in the question of what it'd be like to rule. However, it's very thinking heavy with tons of information that you need to consider. Hard to get into at first, but very rewarding.
