Terrible. Not even a game, merely a child's first attempt at using unreal engine. Blatantly just dumped free assets into a sandbox and is calling it a "game" and charging you money for it. I got it for free and am using that opportunity to warn any would-be buyers. It IS NOT A GAME. It's just more steam garbage. Gameplay: https://youtu.be/RBeZ7Vyqcas
I'm sure for some people, being thrown right into the action with literally nothing explained is part of the thrill, but I could have used at least a once-over of the basics. There are several bars on the HUD; what are those? No idea. Had to dig around in the options to figure out how to access inventory and all that. Presumably your character needs to eat and drink. Where can you find potable water? No idea. I picked some mushrooms that explicitly say not to eat them raw. Okay, find recipe for camp fire. Build and place camp fire. How to light it? Does it need to be lit? Don't know. Some recipes require a "flint", but there's no way to craft one and if you can find it lying around, I haven't. Camp fire has two (2) recipes included, for meat and seafood. Can't cook my shrooms. Okay, fine. Meat it is Meander around trying to figure out what "fiber" is to make cloth, required for a crude axe. It's that particular nondescript plant among all the other nondescript plants. Manage to cobble together an axe, see a boar off in the distance. Approach, attack, it literally just stands there. I kill it, the boar flys up into the air and starts spinning in circles. OOOkkkaaaay....Nope. We're done here
West is a Early Acces adventure survival and crafting game set in a beautiful world with creatures and loads of things that can be explored with bosses, different places, and different islands if i'm correct. It's fairly simple to understand and a quite interesting concept in general.

The game has just been released for 13 euro's which i think is a decent price that fits the game. There is only one developer and i can tell you that the developer is actively developing the game, communicating and interacting with the community which is very nice to have when it comes to support, questions and what comes with it.

More things will be added surely in this game as of-course, it's Early Access. The game offers quite some things already and there is loads of more content coming which i can be asure off. There will also be servers and you can host your own server as well and save the world/character if i'm correct which is a nice bonus to have in games.

That said, i will keep on playing and testing this game and provide as much feedback as possible for the developer. Great game so far, you've done a quite good job. People may think it looks very simple and stuff like that but it's not about that. It's about the feeling you get while playing this game.
This game does not do it for me. Sounds are canned boring and dull and the animations are horrible. First thing you get is a sharp stone which you hold with both hands except it is only in one hand. You have to hit trees about 30 times before they break so you have to watch this awful animation over and over and over. I understand it is early access, but so is Valheim which is light years ahead of this garbage.
The game is good. I had an issue with the key binding, went in to the game discord and before I knew it I was having a conversation with the Dev "NEMO" and in no time at all the issue was fixed. That's what I call service! The game plays well and runs pretty smooth being an EA game there will always be some issues to work out but for this game...So far so good. Yes I recommend this game.
Game just seems so dead and a lack of a compass or a map makes finding a body impossible when you spawn in another area when you die. The sub-par graphics could be overlooked if the game play was half decent. Inventory slots (craft backpacks)and the carry weight so far seems to be good. Recent small update in October give some hope to this game though the lack of it is disturbing. Getting a refund as i type this. I don't hold much hope in this game getting much better if this is what there is at early access release ... and the lack of content in the last patch
Dev is very active on Discord, which is a great thing with EA games.
I would play this game again if it wasn't this game. I dont even know what their aim was for, was this survival or just a random generator test? played for an hour only found corn. of all the things to survive on....corn! you get 4 types of food to keep your performance up but the game decides corn is the dominate one you can find......and when i tried to find animals the only thing i could find was a high level boar that was near my spawn point and it kicked my rear! dont get me started on the visualization; the terrain has a FLYFF JRPR kinda texture with some valheim wannabe texturing and the character avatars are just utterly ripped lol like ok dude chill with the ARK steroid pumping body design lol
Has a kind of long road to go.. But this is a game to keep an eye on. Not bad at all...
Need lots of improvement but time will tell what it becomes
