About
Prepare during the day. Survive the night.
Survive the Nights is a hardcore open-world survival game where preparation is everything. Scavenge, craft, fortify, and plan during the day — because when night falls, the infected hunt in numbers, and mistakes are punished.
Play solo or with friends in a brutal post-apocalyptic sandbox where survival is earned through smart decisions, strong fortifications, and cooperation under pressure.
Zombie difficulty comes from numbers, not individual strength. By day they roam slowly — by night they gather into massive hordes drawn to player activity. The longer you survive, the bigger and more dangerous the nights become.

Structures and vehicles are fully fortifiable. Cover windows and add strength to gain the advantage.

Like to be on the move? Take your home on the road. Cook, sleep and store your items in your mobile base.

Settle into your new home by using pegboards, player storage and blueprints to put your stamp on the place. Physically place your items in the world to make your perfect survival hideout. Use traps to get the upper hand. Traps can give you the edge when zombies or raiders arrive.

Cook over an open fire or directly on a stove to manage your calorie and hydration needs. Maintaining your player vitals will increase your overall strength and carrying capacity over time.

Sick of canned food? Head out into the wilderness to hunt for larger animals.

When food stores start to run out, turn to farming for your calorie needs. Protect your crops indoors under light or grow them outside in the warmer months to produce food that will last through winter.

Weapon attachments let you customize your gun and get it just right for your play style.

Every vehicle is repairable. Engine and wheel parts are required to get a vehicle running. Items can be stored in trunks and on truck beds.

Explore the different points of interest to find valuable location-specific loot.

The weather is dynamic including all four seasons along with seasonal vegetation and foliage.

Spend your days preparing to survive the onslaught at night. Zombies are more aggressive and alert when the sun goes down.
Day Objectives: During the day, focus on resource gathering and fortification. Fell trees, craft planks, engage in hunting and trapping. Collect loot, food, and fortify a structure. Ensure doors and containers are locked, fuel generators, and prepare power systems. Keep your health up by lighting fires, crafting bandages, and gearing up for the night.
Night Objectives: At night, prioritize safety and stealth. Team up with friends in a secured structure, favor melee over firearms to stay quiet. Activate generators, power up structures, set traps, and cook meals indoors on wood stoves. The key is to survive until morning.
The mental health system discourages the "Kill On Sight" mentality, promoting alliances for better survival against the zombie threat. While PVP is still a factor, players have ways to correct a negative mental state.
Survival and zombies how you like them! Browse hundreds of scenarios that set the scene for your perfect survival experience. Zombie survival just how you want it.

Powering a structure can provide light to make nighttime activities easier. Some structures also require electricity to power interior and exterior doors.
Full Steam Workshop support with the ability to mod all areas of the game. Mods can be browsed and installed directly ingame.

Game is pretty great but the current glitches make it almost unplayable if you want to play longterm. Bugs I cant forgive: -Containers made inside the empty RV will just completely disappear -Vehicles completely disappear MID GAME -Generators placed on the ground will delete all components used to fix them sometimes -Power Station turns itself off sometimes. It will be on when you get offline and off when you get back on -Zombies spawn where you just cleared or right behind you -Zombie bodies disappear before you get to loot them -Resetting states of gates/garages/doors/vehicles/spawns each time you get on is infuriating. If you had a car you were working on *poof* gone. If you had a house you barricaded *poof* gone. If you had a garage you intentionally left open as the entrance to your base *poof* its now slammed shut and the power station turned itself off so youre locked out. -Sometimes you all of a sudden wont be able to pick anything up, forcing a restart -Many vehicles spawn partially underground, even with tires on them they never pop back out The first one is the most unforgiveable. I put all the loot for my entire run in my rv. All of it is gone. I appreciate that the devs have gone beyond 1.0 to keep adding new content but for the love of god take a few updates to just fix the glitches before adding new content. Such a good base game here. Its ProjectZomboid Lite and quite satisfying. Lastly, XP needs a huge rework. -Kill a zombie = 25 xp, 50 xp if you get a headshot -Placing a barricade on a window = 25 xp -Crafting anything in game = 0 xp -Kills with flamethrower = 0 xp -Chopping a tree down = 1200 xp Meanwhile a level up is like 165,000 xp This isnt well thought out. I spent a couple hours cutting trees down exclusively and got to level 16. Boost the xp gains of EVERYTHING else to make other ways of farming xp viable. It feels dumb to chop down forest after forest instead of getting xp naturally. If you avoid tree xp you basically never level up. I find it amazing how much of this game flat out disappears under your nose, meanwhile any item you place on the floor or drop bc youre overweight stays there forever. Cars disappear, player structures/containers disappear, zombies disappear, but the wood i dropped on the ground day 1 is still there. Very strange priorities.
I play on singleplayer, and multiple times now my guns attachments have disappeared after logging out. I also had 3 boxes on my trailer, and the middle one was also gone after loging out. All in all a buggy mess.
The game is quite good in terms of implementation, but the game itself is flawed. There are many bugs and poor optimization, resulting in a low fps. I had 50 fps on low settings, which made the game unplayable. However, if the developers continue to work on the game and complete it, it could become a very good product.
so i gave it a try, wanting it to be fun. i usually love open world zombie games. more so if they have vehicles you can modify. but it just was plainly boring. there's not enough to do. it would definitely be better if there was story to it and not just open world with nothing to really do. i wouldn't recommend.
