About
SURGEPOINT is a roguelike boomer shooter inspired by Risk of Rain and Quake. Craft your arsenal from scratch, master movement that rewards creativity, and survive as long as you can in a corporate death game.
You're a prisoner of SurgePoint Industries, a megacorp that throws inmates into combat simulations to stress-test experimental weapon technology. Every run, you're dropped into the arena to fight waves of combat bots. Your job? Find the perfect weapon combination before you die. Again.
There's no escape. There's no winning. There's only lasting longer than last time.
There are no pre-made guns in SurgePoint. Just parts. Find barrels, bodies, mags, grips, and sights during your run and snap them together to create something deadly.
Combine a Splitting Barrel with a Shotgun Body and Explosive Mag to spray explosive projectiles across the room. Or load Bouncy Ammo into a Ripper Body and turn tight corridors into a bullet hell. Ricochets fly off every wall until nothing's left standing.
The battlefield never stays the same. Swap components on the fly to adapt or die trying.
Combat isn't won by raw firepower alone. It's about speed, positioning, and style.
Run, jump, and strafe through procedurally-assembled arenas. Your gun kicks. Hard. Master the recoil to dodge incoming fire, reposition mid-fight, or launch yourself skyward. High-recoil builds hit like trucks but send you flying. Low-recoil builds keep you grounded but won't save you from a swarm.
Your enemies don't fight fair. Neither should you. Deploy Holocubes to create temporary platforms. Block choke points to buy yourself time, reflect bouncy rounds into enemies behind cover, or climb to rooftops and hidden areas the bots can't reach.

This game is more fun than I expected. The endless waves keep things chaotic and engaging, and the core gameplay is simple, tight, and easy to get into. It is definitely one of those games where you tell yourself just one more run and keep playing. The drone robots can be a pain at times, and the game could use some optimization. The shop lighting also feels a bit overexposed. These are noticeable issues, but they do not take away too much from the overall experience. Overall, it is a fun game with a solid foundation and an easy recommendation.
I love the concept of crafting the weapon as you go this has pottential! :D
Fun game! The weapon building mechanic is quite interesting. I had quite a good time trying to find the best combo. The thing i like about the game is there isnt one defacto way to make a build theres a bunch of different builds which gives the game lots of replayability.

This game is a blast, very fast paced and fun to manipulate the movement mechanics to jet around the map, either by chaining blocks or using the gun's kickback. Was also great to make our own weapons too. I can't wait to see how this game evolves in the future.
Fun and fluid endless shooter with plentiful play styles that all feel rewarding in a different way. If you enjoy wave shooters or fluid movement based action then this is a good pick up
Really fun game with a LOT of potential. The movement feels really tight and responsive but not too sensitive. Item system is simple and fast which makes it fun to switch between mods in real time to find "what feels right". I like the direction the game is going and can't wait to see it develop further.
There is still a lot to be added to the game, but what is there feels pretty good. While the starting weapon might be awkward to use at first, when upgrades start droping it clicks, especially when you get to crazier ones like upgrade card that adds gravity to the bullets. I went with shotgun with so much kickback I could fly using it, before ranged enemies shown up, it was a beast. Now I know that it is probably worth keeping spare parts to adjust to ongoing situation. Regarless, I cannot recommend this fully due to early stages, so be aware that you are getting very bare bones game (unless you are reading it in the future but hopefully I'll remember to update the review), if you are ok with that, then it is definitely worth getting, especially considering the low price point.
Still early on in development, but the game is a BLAST. I can't wait to see it after some more love and updates hit. It's well worth the price as it stands though. The itch for a roguelike often brings me to this over others because of the FPS quake vibes. It's got a Roboquest vibe but the gunplay is more fun with the unique customisations each run. Big time recommend this!
Fun on a bun. Addictive gameplay cool level design and dope music.
Been really enjoying this game so far. The customization of the weapons and stage modifiers really add to the experience of having a different play style each run. The combat and movement feel fluid and the little cube makes for some fun manoeuvring. Obviously like any Early Access game there’s a few optimization issues and some places could use a bit more lighting but that doesn’t take away from the overall experience. I’m looking forward to seeing what else comes next from the dev not only with this project but others as I feel this was made with an intention to make something good as a stepping stone rather than an easy cash grab. Big ups!
