Surf Sandbox

I can't recommend Surf Sandox. I've played a lot of True Surf on ios, and I'm always looking forward to trying new surfing games. There isn't enough here to engage you, even for a "cozy/chill" game. Everything feels underdeveloped. I absolutely hate writing a bad review, and I know how hard good people work on these indie games and wish the devs all the best on their next hopefully more developed project. Pros: - Great visual design (caused me to check it out). - The free scalability of the window is a nice feature. - Good sound (realistic relaxing surf). - Good price (It isn't worth the time though unfortunately.) Cons: - Above all. The surfing isn't very engaging or enjoyable. Movement and interacting with the wave is incredibly limited and almost immediately uninteresting. - The mirror image left and right shore break is unnatural, distracting, and unnecessary. - Nothing to progress or incentivize you to advance. Nothing to unlock or increase challenge. - The screen cropping of the environment feels constricting.

Chill and challenging. Getting it right feels awesome. Not getting it right feels awesome. No High scores. No progression. Just the next wave. Gnarly.
