Super Video Golf

I don't care what your favorite golf game is, this is mine. It's got low key jazz music like the SimCity 2000 main map music so that's the speed we're talking about. Good game, very cool.

The platonic ideal of golf game, imo. 10/10, I will play this for 10,000 hours.

An absolutely wonderful golf game for me. I enjoy video game golf, especially when it doesn't try to do "too much." The visuals call back to retro games really well. Easily better than any golf game I have played as a casual golf gamer. Multiplayer is really nice with friends. Also, there are so many little details!? You can hit the drone camera. The moon phases are real world accurate. The EARTH phases are real moon accurate!? It's all just... wonderful. Also, the dev really really listens to comments from the community. Anyway, if you like golf games that take you back to the PS1 era, this is definitely for you.

This is the greatest Video Golf game ever created in the history of mankind. I would simply say it is Super.

Honestly one of the best golf games on Steam. Classic 3-click golf (like Hot Shots/Everyone's Golf) with a 'swing' option for analog sticks on a controller. The retro aesthetics are great and blend with the solid soundtrack that'll bounce around in your head for a good while. Regular updates and events. I find myself regularly coming back to this to play a few rounds and see what new features the dev has implemented. Good golf gang gang.

If you like video golf games...GET THIS! I don't know how I missed this when it first got listed on Steam. Had all the "The Golf Club" games, then he sold out to 2K games (good for him!), and they did their 2K thing to it. If you like old school, relaxing but challenging, easy to start and most of all 'fun' golf games...This is it. Put it in your cart and pull the trigger.

Best little hidden gem golf game out there! Super cozy vibes from the music to the hole-to-hole transitions. Fun arcade style gameplay with a fair learning curve. Plenty of fun courses to play from and the multiplayer online works great. 10/10 recommend.

When it comes to golf games Steam has no shortage from which to choose. Sometimes however, you just want a simple, relaxing golf game to play either locally or online with your buddies, and that's the niche where you will love Super Video Golf. As someone who has put hundreds of hours into the PGA 2k games, Super Video Golf is a breath of fresh air since you can just jump in with some friends and play a quick round of golf without all the hassle. You can make the graphics as ugly and old school as you want, or you can bump up the fidelity and make it bit more modern. I've read some complaints that the minimum requirements are a bit high but I've run this on some portable PCs (ROG Ally, MSI Claw/Claw 8 Ai+) and I haven't had any issues. Physics-wise it has some flaws such as the ball rolling a bit too long on the greens (usually on a slope it will just keep going at a snail's pace but eventually stop) but it's nothing that will take away your enjoyment. I've only used the 3-click swing mechanic and I have no issues there, though I did opt for the larger power bar with 10 notches instead of 8, and that's made judging my power a little easier. I love that this can be played on digital controllers as I intend to play this a great deal on my arcade machine with a Tankstick Max. If you want a deeper challenge you can use the Pro clubs which will require true precision or else you will fluff shot or slice all over the course. Moving on to the sound, the music and effects really help fit that 90s PC aesthetic. Voice clips sound grainy and oversampled, and the soundtrack almost feels like old midi files you'd find randomly on your Windows 95 rig. I actually enjoy quite a few of the tracks and they are perfect for getting you into that old school golf vibe. There's also the Clubhouse with billiards and some arcade games. Haven't figured out how to unlock the arcade games yet but it's cool there's some extra features packed in. Overall, for $10, you can have a lot of fun with Super Video Golf. For the price of one AAA game you could buy this for all of your friends and have a blast.
