Super Slam Dunk Touchdown is a fun retro style game that’s well worth the low price tag. It hilariously combines the rules of several sports with well designed gameplay for a genuinely fun experience. The AI has been improved over the years and you can actually strategize to make for good teamwork. It also hosts a career mode of sorts. My main sticking point is the multiplayer only supporting local play. I wish I could play this with my friends online. The only avenue is using Steam remote play, but this is undesirable due to significant lag issues. Again, it’s more than worth the low price as its got great ideas, and a dedicated dev team willing to improve the game for its playerbase.
A fantastic retro sports game! It calls back to the 90s with its gameplay that focuses on fun instead of taking itself too seriously. SSDT is worth every penny you might pay and I hope you enjoy it!
I was hoping for goofy fun.
Very good
I kinda like it, it's fun and all, but I had fun 'cause I love sports games, the arcadier the more I like them, but this one, mmmmm, slow, you spend more time with loading screens, unnecesary snail-like chat boxes that talk about nothing of interest and you cannot skip, quality of life is non existent, and so on. Will keep the game, might be fun with buddies however by itself, and if you'd like a game to spend some alone time playing a sports game, nah, I'll be occasionally playing it just 'cause I like to score goals. But, who doesn't? Everyone. And for who this game is? I can't tell, it's rough.
we ain't taking no L's bruh.
Yes, I would like to recommend Super Slam Dunk Touchdown to everyone.
Such a nostalgia trip. Having grown up playing 8-bit sports game, this game really hit close to home. I was big into NHL '94 so the hockey player is my fav but the whole lineup has unique shot abilities that make it fun to play them all. Lots and lots of achievements to unlock, which I appreciate as most devs just do the bare minimum. I do wish there was a better way to protect the ball from getting stolen all the time but maybe I'm just terrible at avoiding attacks.
Even though it's not in Early Access, it still feels like it's incomplete and in Early Access. The "Coming Soon!" placeholder on the menu says enough.
Tremendous game. This is the kind of fun and simple multiplayer sports game missing nowadays. Hope we can get a sequel one day.
