Super Mega Space Blaster Special

Fun little space shooter that I will keep coming back to. It's like Bit Blaster XL on steroids, loads of stuff to do and some cool ships to unlock. Really fun in co-op, gives me that retro feeling of playing games in the living room with mates. Unlocking the third ship gave me a turret which made the game a twin stick shooter, really cool. Works well with the PlayStation 4 DS4 joypad. Definitely a steal for the few pence it cost. Highly recommended!

The style of old school space shooters has been refined and evolved here into something that both captures the joy of quick score-chasing sessions while also providing progression challenges and unlockables to further motivate the player to push forward. The weapon design is excellent, every weapon feeling powerful without being gamebreaking and having their moments where they work best, the three different modes of play ensuring things don’t get stale as you can always jump between them to have your priorities and strategies shift around. Super Mega Space Blaster Special is remarkably well-balanced for the most part, only the rocky start with weak ships hurting it as the player needs some time to truly embrace the way the limitations draw out a more active, tense, and overall exciting space shooter experience.

Great space shooter, lot's of fun and lots to do. You collect coins to unlock ships, each ship is different, some have guns that face forward some have turrets, that you can control with the right analogue stick on a pad or a mouse, and some have both. Loads of fun in co-op and I finally made it to the boss in co-op and I'm now determined to defeat it. Well worth the money and has a lot of life for such a cheap game.

一款制作还算不错的打飞机游戏。 这款游戏结合了很多打飞机游戏中的元素，多种不同的子弹，多种不同的敌人，搭配上充满现代风格的画面，让它看起来异常绚丽。 特点各不相同的子弹给游戏带来了丰富的体验，从最普通的单发子弹到射速快又密集的多发子弹，再到可以射穿并击杀多个敌人的巨型子弹，还有撞到屏幕可以反弹的子弹，每一种武器都有自己的强大之处。它们本身并没有特别明显的强弱差距，所以玩家可以通过打爆敌人来不停更换子弹模式，随便射个爽。 敌人是无穷无尽的，玩家存活的时间越长，越高级的敌人便会相继出现，营造出更大的压力。 游戏只有三种模式，可以单人或双人合作的保护母基地模式和生存模式，还有玩家1V1对抗模式，三种模式都是无尽的。 游戏最大的问题也正在这里，它虽然设定丰富，但却没什么可玩的，玩家只能迎接源源不断随机生成的敌人。在保护母基地模式中，母基地的血量必定会持续不断的被消耗，在生存模式中，玩家的子弹和能源总有耗尽的那一刻。所以说，这是个“必输”的游戏，它没有游戏目标，只有一遍又一遍挑战自己获得的最高分。 游戏本身的定价是最低价，所以虽然玩点并不多，倒是也符合自己的定位。 值得一提的是，游戏中文部分是机翻的，几乎没有几个部分翻译是准确的，虽说这并不影响游戏体验，游戏实际上不需要文字也可以玩，但这种通过翻译来讨好玩家的做法，如果翻译质量不过关的话，也许会起到反效果。其他语言在我看来也有机翻的嫌疑，至少“日本人”和“日本語”的区别我还是知道的。 提起打飞机游戏，人们可能想到的大多都是上世纪的古老游戏，如今这个游戏模式已经没有什么吸引力了，当这款游戏选择这个游戏类型的时候，它就注定了不会受到多少人的光顾。简单的制作，最低的定价，这款游戏看起来更像是游戏作者对于自己制作能力的一次检测。

A Gem.. Good little asteroid blaster ,old school retro style arcade shooter. The game is challenging and fun with two player shared screen. The best part is trying to avoid each other while blasting asteroids Missiles and space ships of sorts. I had a great laugh playing with a friend as we crash into one another lol. Great fun. There are 3 modes at this point , Defend mother ship, survival, and 1v1 (i think) I played the defend and survival modes , Both are great games to play, where in survival you just try to stay alive as long as you can while you run out of ammo and fuel , as the ship constantly fires for you. The ship is in a constant state of forward motion but you have a break and a boost . I haven't really got very far yet but i'm enjoying what i have . Its a real blast you cant go wrong if you like space invader types. The Dev's are very much active and are always willing to listen and try solve and help with any problems. There's so many of these space shooters of a similar style on Steam now. Most of them, like this one, come with a very small asking price of 99 cents in the USA. I call them "auto thrust space shooters" because you can't stop in any of them and have to constantly dodge and weave obstacles and bad guys while shooting them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-TSbATfRz2Y Most of these "auto thrust space shooters" on Steam are super fun and offer incredible value, and before this game, my two favorites were "Bit Blaster XL" and "Space Mayhem". This game however up's both of those games with even more to offer and a co-op option as well! I scored this game at a 97% and gave it my "Zaxtor's Indie Gold" award as well as a "Must Buy!" recommendation! You can't beat the value for a dollar people. Just buy it, have a blast, literally.. and thank me later! HIGH RECOMMEND! ..Gems like this game at this low of a price tag are a RARITY on Steam these days!

I've played a fair few hours of this game and I'm still loving it. I like retro games and this gives me the retro feels. It's addictive because it's challenging and you feel like you've earned the achievements. You can just blast away if you want or you can also follow the challenges and feel like you 'beat' the game...just like the good old days. There's every reason to buy this game, fun, challenging, good music, varied game play and great value for money :)

Awesome space shoot 'em up. A lot of fun to play, even more fun in co-op. Me my girlfriend love playing games like this together, really great with cool music too, worth a lot more than it cost.
