About

Summer Vacation is a gay adult visual novel about self-discovery, first love, and the chaos... of figuring out who you really are. Join Mathew through this summer, and his first year at university. Every choice shapes the bonds you build, and the person you'll become.

Three weeks. One summer. Everything changes.
Mat is about to start university, armed with the kind of dry humor that keeps the world at a safe distance. But before that, he's off on vacation to a beautiful house in the middle of nowhere, staying with Silvia, Steven and Fabien. He expects three quiet weeks of boredom and small talk.
He couldn't be more wrong.
Between familiar faces that have changed far more than expected and a whole new cast of friends, the walls Mat has carefully built around himself start to crack. Unexpected feelings surface. Boundaries blur. And for the first time, he has to face questions about himself he never dared to ask.

But summer doesn't last forever. As time passes and university begins, the relationships Mat has forged — and the choices you've made — follow him into a new chapter of his life. New faces, new challenges, and deeper connections await.

I’ve been playing the game for over an hour and I can assure you it’s a real scorcher! I don’t think we needed any more heat this summer… But now that we’re here, let’s make the most of it! :D I’d definitely recommend the game!
You might think this is just another game where you watch attractive characters having sex. While the constant nudity did feel a bit uncomfortable at times, Matt and Fabien’s story justifies it. Moving past clichés and stereotypes—and drawing on my own background in psychology—I recognized that my own mindset used to mirror Matt’s and his journey toward liberation. Honestly, I haven't enjoyed a game in this genre this much in a long time; the story is compelling, and the characters speak with such depth and realism. You can tell this game was made with love. I do hope for some graphical improvements, though; sometimes the faces and bodies look perfect, but at other times, the faces look like they have a filter applied and lose their appeal. I came out of the closet a long time ago, yet certain situations still felt very familiar to me. I look forward to seeing more from this game—more to explore, more nuances, and further refinements—because it is already a fantastic game with a beautiful story and a powerful message. I highly recommend it. Thanks for the Spanish subtitles; I only spotted one error in the dialogue, but honestly, it’s barely noticeable. Thank you for creating this game and pouring your heart into it. I swear I cried during the final moments after it ended. Anyway, I highly recommend it.
I don't normally write reviews for things, especially things like this, mostly because they can come off tacky, obsessive, or otherwise embarrassing because sometimes letting out your feelings is tough sometimes. Hey, that's topical! But I wanted to leave a review because this was a game that I started following like over a year ago, roped in by the explicit scenes more than anything, which was what I honestly expected it to continue being for me, but I was very pleasantly surprised with how the game turned out! It's a story that really resonates with me personally, at least with one of the characters, although not quite in the same way as the game itself. It's not going to be everyone's cup of tea because of some of the themes it explores, and I get that, but I truly believe that it tells a great story, even with the flaws it may have. Tl,dr at the bottom if you want to skip the word walls Where to begin? I suppose it's best to start from where I began with the game. It's mostly just word vomit about my history with the game, but SPOILERS AHEAD!!! I joined at a stage fairly early in development, I could go digging through my Itch downloads, but I ain't doing allat rn. The point is, I was still an awkward teenager when I first discovered this game and, being the impulsive ball of hormones I was, I picked up the game for free because why would I pay for something I could get for free, right? Mind you, I've paid for this game twice now and do not regret it at all. Back to the point, I was in a stage of my life where I was playing games like this for the kicks, just having my fun with it before going back to playing Minecraft or whatever the game of the week was for me. The game's story was before when Mat was just going to college, and Carlos was just introduced. I think it specifically ended right after the cafe scene! It didn't really pique my interest beyond how attractive I found some of the characters from a superficial level, but I still casually followed its development. I played the build that introduced the college campus, I remember hating Peter and the "baby's arm" comment was hilarious to me at the time. The build that really made me drop my peenar and actually focus up was the build that finished the winter break section. I always tended to go the route of Fabien when I played through it. Occasionally I would play a little with Carlos, and I loved Jin as a character, but I would always wind up back to Fabien. I felt like the story was starting to actually try to tell something beyond mindless sex at that point in development, and I felt a real sense of joy watching Mat and Fabien grow closer. The full release really surprised me with how the relationship would wind up going. It was a surprisingly mature angle to get into the weeds of Mat and Fabien's relationship. It was death-defyingly slow moving, the narrative felt like it moved in waddles after the New Year's party scene, but I feel like that's exactly what it needed to really understand the characters' relationships. There was some tell-don't-show going on, but I could overlook that because I understand that the story still has to move forward for all characters, and it's better to have some development than none at all. Mat and Fabien are cousins. Technically they're not actually, but that's the idea. They were raised effectively as brothers, and the complication arises that their parents (Fabien's father-in-law and Mat's father) are brothers by blood, which creates a strict, taboo dichotomy. Even if Mat and Fabien aren't blood relatives, they may as well have been due to their upbringing; however, their connection is extremely close, bordering on something more than just friends or family-in-law. I really appreciate that the story was fairly earnest in how it approached their arc. At first, they tiptoe around each other, fooling around and doing small things that could be passed off as anything, but when they start developing true feelings for each other and they realize that's what they're feeling, they barrel right into it without thinking about the consequences. The (sort of?) climax is even foreshadowed right before the New Year's party, when Fabien, after going official with Mat, asks to take things slow and low-key. It snowballs into something way more than they bargained for when they start coming to terms with the fact that, even though they're not relatives by technicality, they still kind of are in a social sense, which obviously creates a great deal of tension. The context is lost on some of the onlookers, which is also a fun use of dramatic irony that makes the characters feel a little more real, but I digress. I love that the story was messy, it was sloppy, people were jerks, there were inconsistencies, because the real world is full of that stuff! Most relationships are rocky between the rainbows and butterflies, especially ones with the baggage that a relationship like Mat and Fabien's would inherently bring. It may not be "satisfying" to many who follow the story because it is sloppy and messy, there's no cut-and-dry "good ending" to the conflict, but I personally feel like it raises some interesting questions about the nature of relationships and love, not to get philosophical. My biggest problem with the story is that it ended where it did, I wish I could have seen more of it! While it is at times a bit silly, a little hard to believe, and a little too convenient, I enjoyed every second of the game and wound up forgetting about being horny in the first place, which is saying something with these types of games for me. I'd genuinely play it for the plot more than anything. Tl,dr: It's a flawed game that tells a really poignant story as somebody who grew up as an uncertain queer youth. The pacing is inconsistent, but sometimes that plays to the game's favor. The story discusses taboo themes such as incest, which can turn people away just on principle, but I feel they were explored in a mature enough way. The characters are a little fantastical, but still believable enough not to ruin immersion imo. Although it does have issues and conveniently glosses over some things to keep the story moving, they weren't so egregious in my opinion that it took away my enjoyment of the game. I'd play this game for the story first, and the sex second. Solid 7-8/10 game that, given some more polish, could easily go beyond that. I look forward to more!
Très bon visual Novel en FR Histoire prenante avec quelques scènes réservées aux adultes.
Summer Vacation takes us into the coming of age life of Mathew as he explores the transition into college and expanding and opening his worldview to experiences with the colorful if yet somewhat wild cast around him. It takes into account several different types of options, and while it can flesh out some people more than others, it does give a pretty solid grounding of what I would argue covers pretty recognizable LGBTQ+ personalities you would encounter in the real world, and honestly, could expand the roster and cover even more bases. I really enjoy the game, can it be a little heavy handed on a specific route, sure, but I also found that to be my fav one so I get it, that being said here are some great takeaways and why I really recommend this game and also hope to see it get built upon more and evolve as well as succeed. Pros: -The graphics and scenes are really quite beautiful, the lighting can sometimes hit a scene so well its actually stunning. I was genuinely so pleased when some scenes had animation as I was not prepared for that! -The story telling was unexpectedly better than I was anticipating, even if some things feel a bit of a stretch at points, I was surprised that even during one route where I thought I was picking the 'right' options to keep someone happy, it still had story beats of potentially blowing up in my face as emotions crept in, which actually made me question if I was picking the right things at certain moments. -The cast offers a diverse range of sexual experiences, and I was really happy to see that we could shape Mat into a top, side, bottom, or verse king as we see fit. At first I was hoping to pick the option right away, but I think the way of figuring it out with certain characters instead was ultimately the better option to help you invest in them and their story beats more. -The heavy topics, while sometimes feeling a bit rushed, did also properly resonate with the character is a mostly realistic way (put yourself in the shoes of an 18 year old again), life is dramatic, fast, and things feel much heavier and important during that age, something I think was depicted well in Mat. -The fantasy scenes sometimes steal the show in ways I was not expecting, and were a great way to play with the plot, even if minor. Having Mat explore what he may want sexually was a great way to figure out how certain characters influence some decisions, but also allows for characters you'd wish you had options to do more with, to at least still have some fun with. Cons: -The animations can be a bit awkward, including facial morphs and exaggerations, but it really doesn't take away much from the story or is noticeable enough to completely just take you out of a scene. -The voices, and mostly lack there of does somewhat suck, but I understand the reasoning to not have them. I think what is somewhat weird is when a random voice pops in to say 1-2 words, alongside some grammar and spelling issues every once in a while. I would almost prefer either all or nothing at that point, haha, I'd be willing to help voice someone just to hear them moan and bring more emotions to life ;). -Giving more fleshed out stories for the other romance options is definitely needed, without somewhat forcing you to feel bad, I understand that we are pushed toward a 'cannon' ending, but I think for replayability, expanding and adding additional routes and options will do wonders, as I really enjoy the sexual encounters we can have outside of the main cast as well. -The game teases a lot of stories you'll wish were pursuable or somewhat fleshed out some more, I have finished several endings now, and I'm aware of some lockouts for some people I won't be able to get which bummed me out (looking at you Steve), haha that being said it does successfully still give you 4 options so far, alongside single endings which allow for multiple honestly realistic gay relationship or single endings. -Sometimes you will wish you could jump into Mat's brain and tell him to not worry about something he will stress over and even overthink, sure, it is realistic, but sometimes it can be annoying, and truthfully, I do wish we had some more pickable options in-between the larger and even mild ones to help him feel or choose something else, as I often wished he would not feel guilty for choosing himself, or wish I had the option to just go into total sl*t mode. Final Thoughts: The game is in early access and I feel like it is already worth supporting, the price is fair, and the game itself has so much room to grow and expand it makes me happy and hopeful to see it succeed and expand, with additional parts, cast of characters, endings, and even potentially playing different people as well. I for one like Mat, but I could understand how he may not be everyone's cup of tea with attraction, so seeing him in all of the sexual scenes might hold the game back a bit to a wider audience. I enjoyed being immersed and invested, and was genuinely pleased to end up finding much appreciation for a lot of the side characters alongside the main ones, some avenues made me tear up and really feel some emotion outside of just a g**nfest, so I applaud the author for giving me romance and deep thought alongside sexual exploration. Much love to the team and I recommend the game for those of you who are out, down low, or just curious, these are great games to help relieve some childhood fantasies, resolve a bit of trauma, or come to terms with ideas and even figure out where you stand sexually. For me, I didn't expect to be into more than just the young studs, but the daddies surprised me in a great way, and I've been gay forever haha. so now I think I want to explore that fantasy more in the real world! <3 tehe
This game has 67 business days of unvoiced dialogue just to delay what we all know we're here for. Wrap it up, Shakespeare. I'm trying to watch these girls scissor already.
When I played the demo of this game, I expected another generic "porn" game but after playing the full game, it had turned into an amazing emotional and impactful story! Hats off to the devs of this game because it was incredible.
