Summer Scent

5 of 5 Stars - Summer Scent is up there with the greats when it comes to variety and depth of player choice-driven story line. There are over a dozen distinct paths, some of which cause greatly different outcomes in certain scenarios, and very different relationship dynamics. Watching the MC and his LI process new emotions and opportunities is touching. The writing is well-ranged, with serious, tense subjects getting the gravitas they deserve, and lighter moments feeling light and fun. The posing and facial expressions are very compelling as well. Cassie's smile especially can really brighten a room, and her exuberant leap into the MC's arms can be felt due to the realistic poses. At the time of review, The early access game has six days, with each distinct path being in various mostly comparable states of progress. Meaning, some paths may have more work done as their path gets built out, while the developer will update those paths left behind in future revisions. That said, even in this incomplete state, I am very much committed to playing this through to its (variable) end(s), and am really interested to see where the story leads. Lastly, a shout-out to @TheNaughtyCaptain for his work on the music for this game. Both the title track and the end credit track are custom works by the developer, and they both really are set properly in the context of the story and its characters. The first five seconds of the title track and I knew I was going to enjoy the game.

My first playthrough was a bad ending ,but I enjoyed playing this game would like to see more parts .

I love this game, the dev is great and his writing is pretty good. Yes at the time of this review the game is not finished but, he publishes a timeline. If you like adult visual novels this is a must

This one feels like a lot is left unfinished, so it almost feels unfair to review it yet. But they released it, so here goes. The art and animation are great. My only question is why the hell is Cassie so pale compared to everyone else? Also, some of the conversations about their bodies are a little strange, when the choices are super skinny chick number one and skinny chick number two. Storyline is a bit bland. There's not really a lot happening more than the characters figuring out how they feel about each other over the course of a week. (Which is really fast.) Some of the points accrued feel random, especially Cassie's "Dom" points. Writing is decent in some spots and poor in others. There's a huge amount of the MC sitting a room talking to himself about the same ♥♥♥♥ over and over again. Some of the choices you're given don't seem to fit the moment and the dialogue can be repetitive at times. (Like when the MC is trying to "Dom" Eve. His dialogue doesn't progress.) When the characters are trying to show how angry they are (MC or Cassie) the dialogue can be over the top to the point of being corny. It's like the writer isn't sure what point the characters should be making there, so they just word vomit. If you're like me and don't enjoy playing a game twenty times to be satisfied with your play-through, I suggest reading the pathfinder and keeping the tracker on. It'll help guide you in the "right" direction without wasting too much time.

Meh characters, meh story and poor on the sex. I felt it just dragged on and on with no surprises. I couldn't finish the story because there was no fast forward button. My poor clicker finger cramped up and fell on the floor. It was mediocre and all bad choices.

I really like this game for the very good and captivating story. It is possible to do a lot of Playthroughs. It is in early access now, but i think it has potential, to become a lot better. I also loved the scenes with Jaye from Chasing Sunsets, as I am a very big fan of that game. The MC was also playing an online game (Call of Shooty) with Jays stepbrother, the MC in Chasing Sunsets.

The game is great. The writing is top-notch and the visuals are very cinematic, especially in the later episodes. The characters feel genuine and going with them through the story is a true rollercoaster of emotions. The lewds are very sweet and pretty far from the porn stereotype. The sex feels true to life, and overall, I'd say that more than a porn game, it's a game about love. There are a lot of paths with very diverse content. If you don't like something, it is most likely avoidable. Can't wait to see more.
