Summer Scent

This game is written well, and has a lot of player choice and options.... Though sometimes to it's detriment. I didn't realize Cassie going "Dom" was going to be Hardcore Humiliation Dom, but that's the direction it goes, and suddenly I'm in a scene where the MC is gonna be forced to eat his own ♥♥♥. I like a take charge, dominant girl sometimes... but like I said, this strays right into the realm of "Nope" territory. It's a shame there's no middle ground... but now I wonder how much further things would go. She's gonna make the MC eat his own ♥♥♥, is she gonna shove something up his ass later too? Like, we can't have a dominant take charge kind of girl, she's gotta go right into crushing balls and making you eat your own ♥♥♥? It also makes me wonder what the "Submissive" Meter for Eve is gonna lead to. If the Dev is only going towards extreme versions of Dom/Sub then there should be a little more warning in the game. I don't want to play further and find out I need to take a piss on my own sister or something because I chose the submissive route. Suffice to say, I've got mixed feelings on the game now because I feel like I effectively loss Progress. I don't want my MC to eat his own ♥♥♥, so how far back do I need to go in order to knock down Cassie's Dom meter so I can opt out of the scene? As it is, this is gonna come down a lot to personal choice... but in eroge games you need to be really upfront with the customer about the type of stuff that's gonna be in it, particularly when we get to ♥♥♥ eating territory. For me though, I'm gonna err on the side of "Not Recommend" until I play it some more and see where the different paths go. Maybe this is just the one weird thing in an otherwise great game. But I do know it sucks to get to something sexually repulsive in a game with no warning, and find out you locked yourself out of being able to avoid it. Bro literally thinks he's gonna get a BJ in the scene, and the next thing he knows, she instead jerks him off with her foot and then tells him to eat the ♥♥♥ off of it. Like Damn, if I knew the Dom side of her was gonna be like that, I would have never initiated it in the first place.

Have been a big fan of Summer Scent even before it made it to Steam. TL;DR: This is a top-tier, story-focused AVN with fantastic visuals and over 15 routes leading to hours and hours of content and achievements. The story within Summer Scent focused on Jack, our MC, and this time with a trio of ladies over the course of just over a week (maybe longer as development is still in progress). The beauty of the writing is how Jack, who is the primary narrator, changes depending on the path you are on. Each of the routes Jack truly becomes a different person and the interactions change as a result. Further there are consequences to the choices with some not so ideal ending, but that just makes this AVN stand out even more imo. The Naughty Captain has been working in the medium for many years and his use of the tools to produce excellent visuals that help support the story is on point! He is a craftsman who understands the limits of the tools he uses but yet gets the most out of them. As a creator myself, it is humbling to see what he can do! Given the game is in Early Access, the Captain is continuous working to enhance the experience and won't settle for subpar renders or animations. Having seen his test animations on his Discord server I'm excited to see them added as development continues; they will only further enhance the experience further. Godspeed Captain! ❤️🐸

First I must say that this one has great writing! It has been quite a while since I've played a avn- style game that was not poorly written. There are MANY vastly different endings to this game, so depending on what you choose you may get a totally different experience. Some of them are not to my liking, but the entirety is impressive, and I plan to unlock every achievement, which is not trivial in this game.

"Summer Scent" is an exceptionally well-written Adult Visual Novel (AVN)! ARTWORK/ STORY: The artwork is above average compared to most contemporary AVNs, very well done and when referencing the character models, the women are sensual, erotic, and super hot!! The male renders are decent looking, too. The choices you make in THIS game have heavy impacts on not only what will happen currently in the plot, but obviously regarding what endings you WILL experience as well. There is NO railroading here! CHOICES MATTER!! SCRIPT/ CHOICES: This AVN has a "review reputation" for having multiple consequences, some negative and dark, some not so much, and other play-throughs can apparently be more optimistic. My choices led to a romantic-heavy but complicated love triangle, mostly unresolved due to the game still being in development. But, this is a very S3XY, EROTIC, & AROUSING AVN and the script writing is WAY above average, it's complex, intriguing, and even exciting! SUMMARY: So, I have to say not only do I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this game, but that I can't wait for the developers to finish this! ALSO: KUDOS to the developers for including a cameo appearance of "Jaye" from "Chasing Sunsets!" She is such a HOT BABE!!!

Next you are told about "Lighthouse" mode. Lighthouse mode will highlight the beacons on a selected path. The Lighthouse and Beacons aren't available on your first time through. The Lifeline will show on the left hand side of the screen, when enabled. I was unable to turn it off, once it was turned on. Then you have the opportunity to rename your character, Jack by default. There is a Tracker, enabled by default, that will keep track of your current relationship "score" with each woman. This can be turned off in the Game & Help section of the Preferences. The relationship scores do not always change immediately after you make a choice selection. So, you may need to let the story advance a little bit to see the results of your selection. The scores are mainly to see if your relationship is at a place to allow specific choices. Having a high score is not an indicator of a positive ending. The choice selections are a bit different from other RenPy games, they are more like line items, not bad, just different. When you save the game you have the option of naming your save. If you chose not to name your save it will default to a name with the day of the game and your relationship status. The English is excellent, with only minor issues on rare occasions. While this is still a work in progress, it is still being worked on. The most recent update was December 29, 2025. Your play time will vary, depending on the path you end up on. Unfortunately the paths are independent, so you can't make a minor change to switch paths, you will need to start over from the beginning, or an early save. [h1]Final Verdict[/h1] A good start. There are 15 different story lines. The two I experienced are complete enough that you aren't disappointed. Heavy on story, light on scenes. Excellent storyline, humor and at-times tragic endings. Look forward to more, and recommend this for anyone looking for a well-developed, robust AVN!

If you want your Adult game to have a story and actual characters in it, this is for you. It's a Visual Novel in the style of 'choose your own adventure'. Sex scenes do not feel like a priority though and development time on this game is rather long. Plenty of different story routes to try out/follow, with some of them ending up 'not so nice.' That's becausee choices have actual consequences in this story. It's a good thing and will make you want tor replay the story to see what you missed out on. It even has a build-in walktrough if you want to be lazy about it.

I just completed the first installment of this AVN, and all I can say is, "Thank God it's over." Between continuous expressions of guilt, remorse, and angst are tedious discussions about relationships that go nowhere. The story line is pat, a detective yarn you might find in a two-star movie late at night. I found myself rocketing through the story to see if there was anything worth my time. Sadly, there was not. Of possible interest were the points for "dominance" and "affection" accorded to the different characters, but just how those points affected their behavior remains questionable. Don't go looking for S&M stuff here, if that is what interests you. I would have gladly swapped the boring dialogue for decently contrived lewd scenes, but the few available left me . . . flat. Renders are fair at best, sexual interactions brief (and boring). The females are average in looks, nothing special. Unlike other AVNs, the females in Summer Scent have little or no emotional appeal. The main male character, Jack, is also forgettable. It should be obvious this is not an AVN I will be continuing.
