Very cool short horror indie game. Had a blast playing this game. I really hope it does well, so we can hopefully get more games from the Developer. Thumbs up from me. Cheers. https://youtu.be/WNtWo_NfwmE?si=G5oNeuroVWn_K8U4
Захватывающий сюжет, который держит в напряжении до самого конца.
Terrible, apocalíptico, dañino e inacabado es este indie de terror. No recomiendo jugarlo bajo ninguna circunstancia. Tiene tantos fallos que no concibo como ha llegado este juego a Steam.
walking sim, collect pages, jump scares. incredible short, though honest that it is under 30 minutes. try 15 tops unless you walk the whole time, overpriced even at half off. don't bother, also seen this house half a dozen times. reprice it below 2.
Страшные игры с Кристинкой. Прекрасный Хоррор Который поведует нам: Историю Одного Себялюбца и Предательства. Постирайте трусы, будет Весело.
Warning: Asset Flip! Summer Nightmare is an asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The "developer" paid for/pirated someone else's example/template/tutorial game, changed the name/reskinned a couple of things, and submitted it to Valve as if it was their own game.
Summer Nightmare is a fairly basic Unity asset flipped first person horror adventure, one of many hundreds, if not thousands of these glutting Steam. The "developer" paid for/pirated a few Unity asset store assets, arranged them haphazardly in a first person adventure game template, and submitted it to Valve as if they're real game developers. Two notable criteria for what makes an asset flip instead of legitimate use of stock assets are whether those assets comprise the majority of the game, and whether the "developer" properly credited the people who created most of the assets in the game. This game fails both of those tests. The "developers" here didn't credit any of the artists and real, actual game developers who created the assets here, so this is plagiarism, as well as cash grab shovelware. This is an incredibly lazy asset flip, the Russian developer stole a "house" asset and dumped it lazily on the Horror Engine game blueprint... no real game development work took place here, DIG Games is just trying to get your money for someone else's assets on someone else's game template. DIG Games/QuickBobber has shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab. Here's some examples so you can see for yourself:

"Abst Clicker Farm" = Bit Clicking Engine developed by Mfzz99
"In Shape 2" = Shape Change Complete Game developed by Ragendom
"Candy Mandy" = Match 3 Jelly Garden Kit developed by Candy Smith
"Driftence" = Extreme Drift developed by Mehdi Rabiee
"Go Rocket" = Free Space Shooter developed by Craftpix
"Word of Kitchen" = Word Search Puzzle Game Source Code developed by SellAnyCode
"Color Flash" = ColorBattle Complete Unity Game developed by Hacel
"Breakdown" = Stack Ball Template developed by Watermelon Games
"Stapel" = Stack developed by Telecoda
"Hexes" = Hexa Puzzle Block developed by Superpow
"In Shape" = Shape Swipe Complete Game Template developed by App Advisory
"ReBall" = BallX - Infinite Brick Breaker - Complete Game Template developed by App Advisory
"Color Ball" = Color Blast developed by Trisoft Studios
"Suzy Burger" = Top Burger Chef developed by KetchAp
"Rabbit Canyon" = Rabbit Runner developed by OpticGenius
"Blinky" = Vlinky developed by Gambusino Labs
So, the game might look better than you'd expect from an amateur project, but this is because it's partially or completely made up of stock assets, "borrowed" from asset stores and free asset websites. Very little in this game is truly the creation of the "developer", it's just a bunch of rearranged assets. The other problem with asset flips is that when developers aren't capable of doing their job and creating high quality assets, we quickly find they can't do any of the rest of the job of a game developer either. That's definitely true for "Summer Nightmare". Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, left handed gamers or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts. Those technical flaws drag this game well below the minimum quality standards expected of a modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 3 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 130 million gamers on Steam and well over 140,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. This kind of asset flipping isn't harmless. It makes it harder for gamers to find genuinely made games from ethical developers. It makes it harder for genuine indie developers, who put hard work into trying to make real games, to find an audience for their products. It gives indie developers a bad name. Now on to pricing and value. Should you buy this asset flip? Is this really better than any of the 140,000+ genuinely made games on Steam? Of course not! Summer Nightmare is relatively cheap at $3 USD, but it's not worth it. Remember that if you buy a game from an unethical developer, you're putting your money at risk. Ethics aside, there's enough defects and quality problems with this game that it's not worth recommending to gamers, but the unethical nature of the developer/their associates makes it completely impossible.
Profile Features Limited! Valve have marked this game as "Profile Features Limited" at the time of this review. This is usually caused by poor sales figures and low community acceptance for the game (to date). Until this status changes, this game will not give you +1 to your Game Collector badge count, appear in profile achievements or any other Steam meta-accomplishments, nor can it be displayed in some profile showcases. If these factors are important to you, it may be worth holding off before buying this game.
