About

Return to the Summer of 2007...
Once somewhat of a local legend in their hometown, Mallory turned down a record deal in favour of a scholarship a decade ago. To say that they felt a bit of regret would be an understatement; they spent the bulk of their university years watching their former band mates sell out shows and records, stewing in bitterness the whole time.
After several years of rejection and struggling, they've finally gotten a second chance in their grasp — only to question whether it's something they even want anymore.

After years of hard work, Mal has finally gotten everything they've always dreamed of: their band, No Prospects, landed a coveted spot on the 2007 Friends and Foes summer tour, and their latest single has been picked up by some big radio stations. So they should be happy, right?

The bassist of The Fractured — the current band that's on the playlist of everyone who's in-the-know. Most would consider Emerson's quiet and withdrawn nature ill-suited for the spotlight, so it's fortunate that he seems to get overshadowed by the rest of his group.

Mallory’s best friend from university who was dragged into No Prospects largely against her will. Despite her initial reluctance, ever-critical Di has since given her all in every single performance – and won’t hesitate to point out anyone she believes to be dead weight.

An old friend of Mallory's from their teenage basement show years. Having spent the past decade turning down permanent positions in favour of juggling odd jobs with occasional freelance session work, Beckett surprised everyone when he joined No Prospects.

A last minute addition to No Prospects after the abrupt departure of their previous guitarist, Lucas struggles to keep his head above water in a sea full of industry veterans. What he lacks in technical skill, he more than makes up for in pure enthusiasm.

Reviews
The story feels very short and surface-level, especially for this price. I replayed about 5-6 times feeling quite aimless and unsatisfied with endings. This game has great potential and I'd love to leave more of a neutral than negative review if there was an option.
I absolutely loved it! The story is very immersive and it gives me a sense of comfort since music, bands, tours, and such had always been a scene I'm obsessed with. The characters are all well-written and I love how you could explore your relationship with each of them a lot more in the New Game+ playthroughs. The music is great as well, and of course, the art is just beautiful, I cannot begin to describe how much I admire everyone who worked on this game. I have a habit of staring at my screen when I really like an art style and I have to admit, I did that more than in any other visual novel game I've played before, which is probably why I've already played for 11 hours despite only completing one playthrough. I'm so happy I saw the demo when I was looking for games in this app, bro. And I cannot glaze over this more; it was worth it. I still have quite a lot of achievements to aim for in my next playthroughs and I'm still so stupidly giddy. I whole heartedly recommend this!
The game is a cozy piece of art, it explores deep themes and frankly themes I've felt and still feel towards things in life. I loved the atmosphere and especially the character dynamics, maybe because I related to the Main Character and their internal struggles but the game has a way to really take you there in its own world. I loved Beckett as a whole and his friendship with us, Di and Emerson also had me. Lesser characters such as Kendra and Emerson's band still have a way to take stage and make you care and/or root for them. Despite, perhaps, a singular run being short there's a good replay-ability for different endings and achievements, especially how you yourself manage to end up from being a mere indie-ish band. This game is a lovely gem that if you're fan of casual VNs that may touch deeper themes without going too far (I'd say at least and so far through my runs), then you might enjoy summer haze/glory days.
the writing in this game is so good oh my GOD. the art is to die for, the music is so good, and-- above all else, this is a game about growing up, and characvter growth. it was a very strong rendition of what it was like being in this kind of scene in the 90s/2000s, in all of the different romance and friendship routes-- particularly in the one that i got, when going for Emerson, in that substance use wasnt just for enjoyment, but in some people, it was a way to survive, even if it was slowly killing them anyways. honestly the only thing it needed was the Monster energy drinks as hydration and not water. i would give the game a 10/10 if it had that (jk) this game is for me, and any fan of visual novels where romance isnt the whole point, a wonderful contribution to the genre. and also, you can keep trying to flirt with your friends moms. so theres that
lovely visual noevl, love the characters and the story and overall. Currently playing through to get all the side stuff. Immaculate voices as well.
this game genuinely has to be one of my favorite visual novels ever, from the music to the storyline to the characters to the art... it's so good! ever since i got the demo when it came out, i've absolutely adored the music for the game (to the point where I would leave the demo open for background music, it was just so relaxing and nostalgic). that was the main thing that drew me into the game, but the storyline was what hooked me. it was so, so, SO interesting to play through and i never really found myself bored, even as i played through it multiple times to get different endings. 10/10 game, absolutely love it
sehr schönes Spiel :)
It was a good game, made me feel super nostolgic
我这个INFJ也希望要变成酷酷的乐手,加入全员比我更酷的乐团,流畅应对别人的褒奖该怎么办呢?当然是去游戏里做美梦了啊!
truly a game for the emos <3 aside from the wonderful story, i loved catching all the band references + the soundtrack is sooo good
