8-bit Adventure Anthology: Volume I

Excellent adaptation of a classic set of adventure games. If you were a fan or interested in any of these games, this is the game to buy. Being able to play NES games with a mouse is a joy and instant relief from the brick original gamepad. The remaster is true to the originals as far as I can tell. Each game includes a detailed graphics to fill in the border box negative space. This is the result of the 4:3 aspect ratio from television displays in the 20th century being rendered on modern displays with 16:9, 16:10, etc. aspect ratios. It's well done, doesn't detract from the game experience, and hopefully more games following this standard. The game play itself is unforgiving and half the joy is discovering all the horrible ways your character meets their end. Classic adventure try-and-error is how it goes. Recommended for fans of the genre.

Fantastic port of classic NES point and click adventures. My childhood has been brought back to Steam! Still get terrified by the belle.

6/10 8-bit Adventure Anthology: Volume I consists of three retro NES games revived in a way that’s enjoyable, fun, and easy to navigate. My takeaway: When I initially got 8-bit Adventure Anthology: Volume I I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I loved the retro feel but I had no idea what NES was until I Googled it after reading other reviews. I thought the gameplay was clunky but it didn’t cross my mind what the games were; it felt like a random assortment if you’re not here for the nostalgic feel like I am. That being said the game is exactly what it describes itself as- the music, ambiance, and gameplay itself were extremely smooth. There were moments where I was given zero instruction and was extremely confused but all in all I had a great time playing it! I’d recommend this to NES and retro game enjoyers! It took me around 4 hours to fully complete this game. I did get frustrated and had to look up a couple of things but it was great dying in a completely unexpected way and getting rewarded for my misdeeds. Super cool collection of retro games. It's not something I'm particularly interested in but was cool to check out nonetheless. I wouldn't recommend this myself since I think nowadays it's a very niche interest. However for those in that niche I think it'd be a great game to checkout.

You will never complete this on your own. Lots of scratching your head over unnecessary objects and, yeah, I get it's a puzzle game, but just know that you will not figure this out without spending senseless hours. You will use a guide.

8-bit Adventure Anthology: Volume I, is a compilation of classic 8-bit games from the NES era of gaming, featuring remakes of Shadowgate, Deja Vu, and The Uninvited. This anthology is typically reasonably priced usually less than 10 USD, has full controller support, allows for steam achievements, and really brings you back to the days of classic gaming. I spent many an hour replaying Deja Vu and Shadowgate as a kid, so getting to experience these again as an adult, without an emulator, and sharing these games with my family sharing was a rewarding nostalgic experience. Of course, not everyone enjoys 8-bit gems like these, especially younger audiences that are used to hyper-reality graphics, but there is something about the classics that really bring me back to what excited me about gaming when I was a kid. As far as these being "remakes" I mean yeah they are remade in the sense they are ported for the PC and have a menu system that is styled 8-bit to keep the feel and they did try to make the games feel like you are playing them on classic tv's from the era, but the games are pretty faithful to the original in every other sense. If you are a fan of the classics I would recommend, I only wish they had included more titles than just the three, but at least they picked 3 great ones, instead of 10 crappy ones, so that is at least something.

Le troisième est The Uninvited vous êtes une personne qui a eu un accident de voiture avec sa soeur, quand vous revenez à vous votre soeur a disparu, vous devez entrer dans un manoir et l'explorer afin de la retrouver. Ils prennent environ une bonne heure à une heure et demi à faire chacun, ce sont des vieux jeux donc autant dire qu'il faut se débrouiller tout seul pour trouver les solutions afin d'avancer, si jamais vous êtes bloqué vous pouvez toujours regarder sur le net il y a des guides qui peuvent vous aidez. En résumé 8-bit Adventure Anthology: Volume I est une bonne compilation de vieux point & click chacun a son propre thème le premier est de l'aventure fantastique, le second polar, et le troisième horreur.
