About

Return to the Summer of 2007...
Once somewhat of a local legend in their hometown, Mallory turned down a record deal in favour of a scholarship a decade ago. To say that they felt a bit of regret would be an understatement; they spent the bulk of their university years watching their former band mates sell out shows and records, stewing in bitterness the whole time.
After several years of rejection and struggling, they've finally gotten a second chance in their grasp — only to question whether it's something they even want anymore.

After years of hard work, Mal has finally gotten everything they've always dreamed of: their band, No Prospects, landed a coveted spot on the 2007 Friends and Foes summer tour, and their latest single has been picked up by some big radio stations. So they should be happy, right?

The bassist of The Fractured — the current band that's on the playlist of everyone who's in-the-know. Most would consider Emerson's quiet and withdrawn nature ill-suited for the spotlight, so it's fortunate that he seems to get overshadowed by the rest of his group.

Mallory’s best friend from university who was dragged into No Prospects largely against her will. Despite her initial reluctance, ever-critical Di has since given her all in every single performance – and won’t hesitate to point out anyone she believes to be dead weight.

An old friend of Mallory's from their teenage basement show years. Having spent the past decade turning down permanent positions in favour of juggling odd jobs with occasional freelance session work, Beckett surprised everyone when he joined No Prospects.

A last minute addition to No Prospects after the abrupt departure of their previous guitarist, Lucas struggles to keep his head above water in a sea full of industry veterans. What he lacks in technical skill, he more than makes up for in pure enthusiasm.

Make meaningful choices: Shape your character's personality, relationships, and goals through the choices you make.
Experience it all over again in New Game+: Completing your first playthrough will unlock a New Game+ mode that adds new story content and epilogues — almost doubling the amount of content in the playthrough.

Genuinely enjoyed the game and plan to keep playing more for different endings! I've managed to play through two different base games and game+ scenarios and adored the storyline each time and the differences you can find in each playthrough. Slight spoilers but I do wish there was more to the actual ending, maybe an update or DLC, where you get to have more time with whomever you reconciled with at the end of the game. While I highly recommend the game I do wish there was more because I'd love to play more, get to know the characters even more, etc. I'd love a DLC with more of MCs backstory about their original band too.
Summer Haze/Glory Dayz is a beautifully created visual novel with well written characters and great branching possibilities that makes you feel like each decision matters. The story has a delightful way of teasing responses from the player while also allowing a good range of responses, depending on how you like to roleplay. Some members of the the band are sympathetic and made me feel protective, while others had me clenching my jaw and scowling at their behavior. There were also a few times I tried to be cool, but tripped face first into awkward--be warned! It's a great cast that creatively pushes and pulls you in all directions. I would also like to mention how much I appreciated the game's accessibility options. The devs really cared about how players create their character, readability options, and tutorializing the game mechanics. Each customization option helps dial in a really comfortable playing experience. Great presentation, well rendered characters and locations. I appreciated the music that made a nice backdrop to each scene. Interesting character personalities that made interactions dynamic and sometimes stressful. Its a really well designed experience and I enjoyed role playing a budding (sometimes too cool) rock star. Highly recommended!
This game struck a chord with me, and I literally can't stop thinking about it. So I have no choice but to leave a review. Which I have never done before, but I enjoyed this game too much not to. About a year ago, I played the demo and loved it. I was very excited when I found out it was finally coming out. I've been going through it this past week, and playing this game was very cathartic. I swear, if I were not on SSRIs, I would've actually cried. I loved the framing device, and I loved it even more in New Game Plus. The characters were ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome, and I've barely scratched the surface. Can’t wait to play some more! Mallory, despite being a player character, has strong characterization, and the choices do not undermine that. It never felt as if I were speaking for them; it always felt like something that Mallory would say or do. I love visual novels, but sometimes it feels like you're playing a cardboard cutout, and it’s nice that this game doesn’t fall victim to that. The setting and general vibes are on point as well. The original soundtrack feels like something made in that era and was a good listen, would add to my own playlist. I think the price is perfectly fair and that this was worth every penny. If you like visual novels, a good story, well-written characters, and music (especially that of the 2000s), I would recommend giving this game a shot. And now the more spoilery part of the review, I guess? New Game Plus hit close to home for me. I can’t help but mull over all of the things I could’ve done differently in my life. All the things I could’ve said and done, but didn’t. Would it have changed it at all? Would I still have those people in my life if I had just said the right thing? As I have gotten older, I have slowly come to accept that I don’t know, and that’s okay. You can’t change the past, and sometimes there was no right thing to say. Sometimes the right thing to say or do pushes that person away, and that ♥♥♥♥ hurts. That doesn’t mean things can’t change; you just can’t change the past, but you can still do something different now. I might be brave myself and try to reach out to an old friend. Maybe… I’m still kinda scared, but I’ll try. I have seen some other reviewers wanting more from the ending, but personally, I liked it. Though I wouldn’t say no to more of this story. But I’m perfectly content with the way it is. Gives me some nice food for thought. But anyways, thank you devs for making this game, I really liked it :)
A genuine, funny, and reflective tale about growing up and getting closure. As an older millennial who gave an art career an earnest shot and failed, I felt right in this game's crosshairs. The writing is really good, even great at times. I don't want to spoil too much, but if you're a fan of the genre (VNs) you have to stick around for at least 1 New Game+ playthrough. It's the extra sauce here, a great mechanic tied wonderfully to the theme. The character is art is some of my favorite in a VN in recent memory. Lots of little variations and details (especially for characters), I really enjoyed the style and vibe. The game also has a great OST, an important consideration for a game about music. I also feel the need to mention the Voice cast, it's a subtle addition that adds a lot, all the performances are great. summer haze/glory daze wasn't on my radar at all, but it's going to be one of the games that sticks with me most this year.
OH MY GAWD, this game is genuinely so beautiful. there is no other way to describe it.... i need a dlc where we can continue rebuilding the relationships after reconnecting with them !!! I NEED MORE CONTENT WITH EMERSON
my god this was GOOD. characters all have depth and i was invested from the second i met them. it tackles issues in a good way, and depending how you play it accurately depictated the immense feeling of grief and regret over your actions to someone struggling. the background characters don't feel like filler, they help move the story along while also having their own personalities, struggles and stories outside of the mc (which i've found not to be the case in many games.) 9/10 (-1 for me feeling so sad and so intune with the characters that it hurt by the end).
This game hit me in a way not many others have, I played the demo and was awaiting it's release, and it took a turn I never would have thought. I've never played a visual novel where you play through it twice and you get to reflect on your choices in the way this game does it, the fact that it's un avoidable in the end and you can't force characters to go along with you just because you're the mc. This game is such a good depiction on grief, mental heath, addiction, and being able to reflet on your choices but never being able to go back. I would pay to experience this game for the first time, to cry and sympathize with every character. I feel this will be one of the few games I want to play again and again till I get every achievement. I loved this game with every bone in my soul.
Emerson
clean on drug

Sorry,Edwin(那个主角认真谈了三年的前任)~这里我们说的是那种感觉!
