Experience the rush of battle with the fan acclaimed Bullet-Hell shooter "SUGURI". You're equipped with an automatic lock-on targeting system and a unique arsenal of hyper weapons, power shields, and more. Sure, she may look cute, but when it's time to fight, it's all business.

THE MUSIC BANGS (also hard as balls)
好玩,Hime在Suguri这个版本里手下留情了555,比Sora里的Hime要简单不少
I'll keep my comment short and I promise not to spoil — you can safely read this opinion. This review comes from someone who's not a hardcore fan of SHMUPs — so far I've played a few games of this genre, with choices mostly limited by old NES games. I came here from 100% Orange Juice — a great game, which, I'm not going to lie, partially contributed to my personality. As you probably got it, I'm not a hardcore SHMUP player. I mostly liked the game realisation — cute simple graphics, a good yet not annoying soundtrack, cool characters, easy-to-handle weaponry and other jawn. The main disadvantage here I found is the difficulty. I was playing the Easy mode, and so far it took me a good ~20 hours to finish the game. You can safely say that I suck at this game — I'm not going to argue (nor agree), but it's honestly not a disadvantage for a game that has an Easy mode to be actually easy. Something as simple as 20% bigger health bar, regeneration on dashing, bigger damage for guns, additional slot for the Hyper Attack would solve the issue. Add one of these and the game would become so much easier — as one'd expect from the Easy mode. Yet it will still remain challenging and fun — hence I'm not saying all these minutiae should be here. I also wasn't really impressed with the script. I wouldn't even bring it up here, but I saw someone saying he was so impressed by the ending of this game. For me it was, ehhh… it's like they added the scenario for the sake of scenario rather than actually going deep into it. Quite sad. And I was not spoiled, and I'm not spoiling you — just saying they could do it better. The achievements are broken — I got some intended for the Arcade mode while playing Stage mode. Also, it's currently impossible to obtain the achievement for unlocking all weapons without additional software — the game simply doesn't count it. A cute, little game with a beautiful main character and actual challenges that feel rewarding, yet a very high difficulty for the Easy mode — Suguri gets my honest rating of a 7 out of 10. Thanks for reading. P.S.: I'm about to play Sora, what seems to be a continuation of this game. I actually bought Sora first because I liked the 100% OJ character Alto, and then I found out that I had to play this game first. P.P.S: If you do like the game, or don't, or haven't played it yet — don't hesitate to try another SHMUP named Hundred Bullets. It's only on XBOX, and I participated in its development. Is anybody reading this? Please DM me in Discord (my nickname is the same there) saying that you read up til the end of the review and I'll give you an key for it! A limited offer of one Xbox game copy only! Woohoo!
All my pain and suffering is finally over. Hime's boss fight was definitely an experience.
