About
Subluminal is a 3D car driving platformer about gaining speed and going fast.
Vehicles have precise maneuverability allowing you to jump in the air and manipulate your orientation to drive on all surfaces.
All vehicles are equipped with a space displacing mechanism known in Subluminal as a space displacing mechanism or SDM to propel the vehicle forward. This not only allows you to gain speed, but provides aerodynamic control and the ability to conquer any imaginable path.
Free To Play
Single Player: Achieve the fastest time possible, in an elaborate course, with elements that allow you to traverse off the conventional path and into the air. As you complete more courses, the difficulty rises; forcing you out of your comfort zone in order to use all your skill to complete these untraditional courses as fast as you can.

I watched on youtube about on of your videos how you struggled to make the game for 5 years so here is a positive review as encouragment, But the controls are bad. I got stuck on the tutorial lvl 2. Tried other levels. I cannot understand how the boost works because it automatically interrupts and restarts. When I jump the car keeps rotating impossible to boost forward. Sorry for you and indie game development. I tried to like the game but I sincerely cannot recommend it. Try to add inside the game link to youtube/insta short tutorials where you explain the basics of controlling the car. Maybe we will be able to learn the basic contols one day.
Good game :) sad no sex with car

This clearly looks like an unfinished game, in alpha stage actually. I was willing to give a recommended rating for encouragement because I see some potential and I thought it was in Early Access, but it's not and the dev states he probably won't keep working on it so I'll be a bit more fair. Everything is bad: the graphics, the driving, the physics, ... The maps are short and uninspired, the interface is barebones, I simply see no reason to play this even for fans of the genre.

Full Gameplay : https://youtu.be/1ED-42sKAiw?si=6AxgVauZyctRoICy ★★★☆☆ Gameplay: netral Graphics: Awesome Music: good Story: - Control : bad PC Requirements: Potato no problem note = I hope there is multiplayer and can be online, and maybe there are some bugs that need to be fixed, the car controls also have to be fixed because I have difficulty turning, but regarding the car design I really like it because it is futristic, continue and become a famous game developer, and don't forget My name is DAVAKUY
This game definitely has potential, however there are a few glaring issues id like to say: weird controls (left click to drive forward, s to drive back?) not told about drifting/rolling until much later, two very important controls for a game of this type no kill zones (can fall off maps and stay driving) gravity still affecting when upside down, on walls etc (hard to accelerate to fast speeds, can fall off at slower speeds) lack of music in levels strange physics, especially when upside down and going from wall to floor no base control tutorial (could also just make w be forward to remove this need) spin jump very difficult to use graphics are not amazing, and while games dont necessarily need amazing graphics, in a game as simple as this i'd thought itd look better two camera options, locked and free. having a way to easily zoom out the camera would be nice no checkpoints a few levels are designed in a way which makes it very difficult to understand where to go but ill definitely be keeping this around on my library to see if its improved!
broken game........ I don't know if it is because I changed the key-binds, and if a game allows to change them you still expect the game to work... but, the race starts, and besides going straight and turning right or changing the camera view between decent and FUBAR, nothing worked. I tried all the keys on my keyboard. what a shame, it looked fun in the video.
If you're looking for a review on this game you've come to the wrong place, but if you're looking for an outstanding pie recipe you've come to the right place. Ingredients: 1. 6 tablespoons unsalted butter 2. 1/2 cup white sugar 3. 1/2 cup brown sugar 4. 1/4 cup water 5. 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon 6. 1 pinch salt 7. 5 apples - peeled, cored and sliced 8. 1 pastry for double-crust pie Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). 2. Combine butter, white sugar, brown sugar, water, cinnamon, and salt in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, remove from heat and set aside. 3. Roll out half the pastry to fit a 9-inch pie plate. Place bottom crust in pie plate; pour in apple slices. 4. Roll out top crust into a 10-inch circle. Cut into 8 (1-inch) wide strips with a sharp paring knife or pastry wheel. Weave the pastry strips, one at a time, into a lattice pattern. Fold the ends of the lattice strips under the edge of the bottom crust and crimp to seal. 5. Pour butter-sugar mixture over top of pie, coating the lattice, and allowing any remaining sauce to drizzle through the crust. 6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), and bake until the crust is golden brown, the caramel on the top crust is set, and the apple filling is bubbling, 35 to 40 more minutes. Allow to cool completely before slicing.
Somethings that could be improved just for playing the game for a few minutes. 1. Slightly better tutoriel. The left click boost isnt listed when presented with the tutorial. Its also a bit redundent but any/all keys that do something also needs to be listed. I was stuck on the 2nd level because i didnt know i could boost to get that extra momentum i needed. This includes driving forward (w). The icons on the bottom left of your screen are also not explained. The notification teaching about grip strength and hanging onto things in level 5 could have been used in level 4 along with an explanation of the speed boosters. Tutoriels also go away with a single click which i can understand but may be better to change it to a pop up you need to exit. As for level (6)? (map name spin) the pop up got removed by an accidental click i pressed thinking it would be a normal level without one and thus did not show up again even upon resetting the level (fixed through going to main menu and then clicking "next page" to manually reset the level.) 2. Camara on the 1st level feels pretty bad. I cant see anything in the first half besides my car and the road behind me. Not even a little bit of the front. Changing the camara also dosnt allow for view of the road ahead. I understand this might be a designed on purpose and in theory its cool but its a little jaring when thats the first thing you encounter in the game. You havent gotten used to the mechanics nor control of your car and you have no idea where your going. 3. Controls/drifting feels too loose. If you gain over 100 speed then slightly turn in any direction your car will start to spin/slide quickly going out of your control. For a game like this it dosnt feel great to loose all control of your car over a minor imput. When your car lands it dosnt feel like it has grip or weight and when trying to correct myself the car just spun out of control with a tap of the arrow keys. Falling from a small high can just cause your car to flip around and face the other way/car freaks out. 4. I think the liminal theme is cool but it needs to be more present. It felt more empty than it did liminal which might sound weird but it dosnt give me the same vibe. Maybe it was the lack of objects in the background or the ever present track that remains the same no matter the level that is keeping me grounded. Though it could also be that im not that affected by such spaces. The planet almost crushing the tracks was intresting though. I also think level 4 with its low quality rolling hills and lakes might need some work as it contrsasts with the tech like buildings which are of much higher quality. Though i cant speak to much on this sense i may just not understand it and im not the best at critquing art. 5. It dosnt feel like you have a goal. I understand its to get to the end of the tracks and a timer is ticking but as i will say in my next reason it just feels like one of those driving simulators. 6. It feels uninspired. Like one of those basic roblox driving games that are pumped out by the hundreds. Though that being said this a simple game and your first ever made. Its probs a good starting ground. 7. Level 3 your placed into a different car that has a different ability though your not told what it is or how to activate it. (jumping with space instead of boost via left click.) 8. "next page" should renamed "levels" and replace the "start from first level" button in the main menu if you have completed the first level. Or be changed to the level your currently on/have next. It additionally should be more bold and not tucked away in the corner with an ambigous name. Next page could easily refer to the next page of credits. Its not obvious that the next page/last page is connected to the top right menus. Think this should be changed into buttons where the credits are instead of being spread out through pages with the "next page" controls. Makes it easier to notice and see. Though that is my personal preferance. (credits can be moved to one of the bars if the change was made or just moves else place on the screen with a different outline). List of bugs. 1. The down slope at the beginningof the level in level 2 has this weird invisible bump which tosses the end of your car up and looses your momentum. 2. On 2nd level the finish line hitbox dosnt always register. For the first few times i just flew right threw it and was wondering why there wasnt any end/track beyond it. 3. Level 4 has that same bump/gravity issue with its slope at the beginning of the level.
You can tell they didn't really bother refining the gameplay before building environments.
