In the year 2299, an interstellar war rages between the Earth forces of the U.N.E. and the breakaway Colonial forces. The tide of the war has turned, Earth is in danger. You and a band of survivors must fight overwhelming odds and find a way to save your home.
Strike Suit Zero throws you into the heart of relentless action where no two encounters feel the same. Whether you're dogfighting skilled enemy pilots, engaging multiple targets at once, or holding the line against overwhelming fleet assaults, the stakes are always high.
At the center of it all is the Strike Suit itself, a revolutionary craft that gives you a tactical edge unlike anything else in space combat. Switching between Pursuit Mode for raw speed and power, and Strike Mode for precise, highly maneuverable combat, means you're always in control of how you engage the enemy.
No target is too big. Capital ships can be dismantled piece by piece, with turrets picked off one by one and critical weak-points targeted to blow out entire sections of their superstructure. These are battles of both skill and strategy, rewarding players who take the time to study their enemy.
Your decisions matter beyond the battlefield. Choices made throughout the game directly influence the state of Earth by the time the credits roll, with multiple endings ensuring that your playthrough feels consequential.
Across 13 unique locations, space is anything but empty. Vivid and colorful environments bring the universe to life, complemented by stunning ship designs from mechanical engineer Junji Okubo and an award-winning soundtrack by composer Paul Ruskay, featuring collaborations with Japanese vocalist Kokia. Full joystick support and multi-monitor compatibility ensure you can experience all of it in the most immersive way possible.

If Kira Yamato is a homeworld pilot. Pros: Fun Arcade space sim Cons: Setup is limited and tends to be problematic. In my experience: Flight stick roll has been reversed, Gamepad right analog has some movement reversed as well.
As someone that grew up with Robotech/Macross and a love for space combat, this is my go to game. There are not that many titles out there I feel, that scratch that itch I have but thankfully this is one of those titles that fill that gap.

hilariously terrible
I got for free and have played 20 min in the past 11 years. I just sold a card for 2 dollars and 73 cents. 5/5 game!
This is a game that, even 10 years since I last played, and even longer since I really dived into, I still remember. It's a fun, dynamic shooter/dogfighter that makes asks you to execute well to succeed and doing well feels rewarding.
A great game back when it first came out, and played through it 4 years ago. A GREAT short story and pretty great action, not to mention a music score that vibes off of 90s and early 2000s techno, reminiscent of Ghost in The Shell. The gameplay is very much a fighter SIM, mixed with a single fighter that plays off of ROBOTECH, but instead of a plane based on an F-14 Tomcat that transforms, it's just an open bodied craft that transforms a little like a Transformer into a basic flying mech. Even this day and age, the game plays fairly smoothly, and the combat feels just as good as it did back when it first launched.
This game is really fun in the first stages. The dog fights are extremely satisfying to do. However, it gets very frustrating in the endgame, and you can basically only rely on your mecha-form to defeat the enemies. Some of the missions, like "kill 40 units of a certain ship" don't seem to track well either. But it's an overall fun game. Flying in the beginning stages is always cool
