Strange Brew

I first played the demo, and holy, a lot has been added since then. The gameplay is simple, yet difficult, and if you're like me, you're gonna die a lot. Even though it's not the type of game I gravitate toward, it's fun! The coffee mechanic is making me crave a nice tall PUMPKIN SPICE COFFEE! I really like the level and sound design, especially the audio cues, since I'd probably miss out on every secret without them. Great game, crew! Needs more Barbara!

What initially looked like a lot of fun, quickly turned sour after just the first level. Poor and jerky camera, slow and often janky animation and controls. Over the top difficulty with often quick and annoying deaths, resulting in restarting the entire level, at least one checkpoint would have been nice ? Performance issues even on good with stutters and frame rates dips, bugs galore with hidden walls and other things. audio issues if you pause the game during the radio announcements, Very poor or little optimization and why on earth is this game 45gb to install ??? Sadly I can not recommend this in its current state, if its improved I will happily re-visit and take another look.

I love the vibe of this game, darkly funny it plays into its humor well. Contrasting the fantic nature of the gameplay against soft elevator style music beats and reassuring corporate barks, it's really hitting a sweet spot.

Great game, love the level design and aesthetic and the music is really cool too.

Honestly, its a great game overall. -The levels have replayability to find forgotten or missed secrets. -Multiple costumes and power-ups make every run diffrent and chaotic. -Its funny and enjoyable. (Nead I say more?) The developers have made something quite special and unique. The game does need a bit of a polish as ive found a few spots I could get out of the map, but overall its a great game. 8/10

Love the art style and premise! Definitely check it out and get that Pumpkin Spice!

Been waiting for this one to come out! No checkpoints on a level reminds me of playing games back when I was kid, before there was a checkpoint every 5 minutes.

Strange Brew is a fun but challenging indie platforming game. I enjoyed the mechanic of the coffee being your energy and life which had me stressing when I got low. The level design was fun and there are a lot of easter eggs and details to find if you have a sharp eye, one of my favourite parts is the speed run potential I see for the game as certain coffees can give you big movement buffs and love to see new skipping tech. Overall an indie banger that I would def recommend.

I'm not much of a speedrunner or a platformer but I genuinely enjoyed playing the first few levels of Strange Brew a lot! It's a very whimsical game, the setting and premise are really fun. The game had some rough edges on launch but the devs are actively working on fixes and improving how smooth it feels so I wouldn't consider that a reason not to purchase. The levels were still enjoyable and the mechanics are really silly in a good way. The artstyle and gameplay make it quite nostalgic to PS1/PS2 games, but there are difficulty settings which isn't always a given in retro games, so that's nice 🤭

A funny yet crazy 3D platformer with coffee and zombies. Makes me laugh out loud with endless replay value. Thank you Electric Monk Media for Strange Brew. 9/10
