What do mirror reflections do once they have no one to repeat after anymore? Play as Iris, quite a sarcastic reflection torn between the urge to unravel the mystery of death of her “prototype” and the need to find her place in a mirrored world.

Amazing and lengthy story of what happens to your reflection after your physical body dies. The story begins with the murder of a famous actress in her dressing room. As her lifeless corpse sits in the chair, her reflection begins to move in the mirror. It turns out that there is another version of the actress on the other side of the mirror, and her sole goal is to mimic her every move. Now that the connection has been cut, the reflection can do whatever she wishes. However, the opposite side follows its own set of rules. The most important thing is to avoid the "void," which is an empty region in which nothing exists. The simplest way to explain it is as a broken mirror, because everything that goes within will eventually shatter into pieces. The only safe place is Crystal City, where everyone can live without fear. But you must earn your way in by embarking on expeditions into the void. The reason for this is that certain pockets within the void can contain real-world materials. You soon join one of the void expeditions. Your crewmembers and other visitors to the site will be the main characters you engage with and get to know better. Although the gameplay is more intriguing than in typical visual novels, the fundamentals remain the same. You simply read the text at your own leisure and hit the button to move on to the next piece of text. You can sometimes use a mouse to examine clearly indicated hotspots on the screen. Unfortunately, the game lacks voice acting. But this is understandable because so many characters and the game's length would eat all the budget. As with any other visual novel, you click on choices to direct the story along different paths. There are no bad choices, and you will receive an ending regardless of how you play the game. Conversations with others provide many more alternatives that aren't always necessary for progress, but they do make characters more fascinating. Your diary provides a good summary of what's going on each day. However, the most essential feature is a list of all characters and their feelings toward you. This is evident in icons that fill up when good decisions are made. Achievements are also a significant element. The game features exactly 100 achievements, which you get by selecting the correct options or simply playing through the game. Each character has multiple achievements, which are earned in order. If you miss one, you'll know exactly where to look in the game. That’s why saving at regular intervals is important. It can be done at any time. Although there are several exclusive achievements, such as your romantic choice, you can complete the majority of them with a single playthrough.
THE MUSIC IS ON FIRE, THE STORY IS ENGAGING, LOVE THE MYSTERY, THE MAIN CHARACTER ISN'T A WOODEN DUMMY (and it's only the beginning)!
A beautiful visual novel, made with love and all about love. The art is pleasant, the main heroine is amazing (though, as a guy, it was a bit tricky to fully put myself in her shoes—especially when it came to choosing a boyfriend), and the story is really engaging. The characters don’t feel like flat mirror reflections, they act like real people. There are only two downsides: the ending felt a bit rushed and unsatisfying, and I couldn’t help wondering why I had already figured out the big plot twist long before the characters did. Definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys visual novels and doesn’t mind reading on a computer screen.
Visual novel with a very interesting concept. No voice acting and i only played the intro really but it definitely sets a good potential storyline from the start. If you like visual novels probably worth a try. Also has a demo to check out if you vibe with it. First Look here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pXs_aIip9M4
I recommend this game if you're the type who likes playing slice-of-life-esque games, following the day-to-day life of a protagonist and chatting up other characters. This game's vibes are a bit similar to point-and-click games. I recommend this game if you want a story with a little romance on the side (there are 3 possible love interests, all with a "true" good ending and a couple mid endings). I don't recommend this game if you want a murder mystery. The mystery is more of a side plot, with the main plot being the protagonist becoming comfortable in her own skin and finding what exactly is her true self. And also the story tells you the answers to the murder plot, so it's not really a mystery that you have to piece together. Personally, I walked into this game expecting the murder mystery part, but since I'm also an avid consumer of character-centered works and romance I didn't mind what I got at all. I just wanted to place the disclaimer that the murder mystery aspects are not very pronounced so that anybody looking for that knows that this isn't the right game for them. Anyway, a little more on why I liked it: - I liked the protagonist - I liked the massive amounts of art this game has - I liked some of the side-characters, mostly the ones that the game let me hung out with the most - I liked the extensive interactivity - I liked how easy it was to fast-forward seen text or even backtrack to previous choices when you want to change something - I liked most of the romances, especially Johnny's, who is the hardest "true good ending" to get because it starts as a hookup and you need to make it develop into something more, so I recommend checking out the devs' walkthrough for him. Roy was cool too, MC and him have chemistry basically from the get-go. I wasn't big on Tony's romance because I felt that Tony was infantilized too much Things I didn't like: - Since there are so many possible outcomes, achievement hunting is kind of a drag without a guide tbh. There are 30 achievements I can't even fathom how to get based on their description and I'm not even gonna bother - Your actions can influence the ending of all your companions but it's hard to know what you can do and what you're missing because there is no achievements/album tied to the side characters' endings. For example, I think you can matchmake Tien (a side character) with two people, but the game is not clear on this because there is no achievement attached to it. She randomly got together with Johnny in one of my playthroughs for seemingly no reason even though they have no chemistry? I have no clue tbh. I'd set her up with Takeo personally if that's even a possibility and I knew how any of it works lol
An engaging and atmospheric visual novel with archetypal yet vivid and lively characters. The world feels truly unique and original, drawing you in with its distinct style and mood. It’s a pity that the main secrets of this world remain undiscovered, as I would have loved to learn more about it.
