Super fun run-and-gun 2D platformer with engaging, high energy combat and immersive level design. I had a blast playing through this game. It gives me nostalgia for games I played growing up- as a kid. The game play is extremely fun and engaging, the sound track is killer and keeps great momentum and the story was fun, simple and easy to follow. It was pretty short. It took me just under 6 hours to beat and that was with a bunch of deaths. apart from the length of the game I have 2 real complaints about it and they're both fairly minor. There is a weird performance issue that seems to be related to loading new levels (could be wrong there). After a while in game the game will periodically lag-spike. Its not related to loading in enemies. Its not that big of an issue as simply restarting the game seems to fix it. The other problem I have is the game wont save your key configuration for controller when you quit out. This is also not a big issue as its very easy to reset. Thats really all the negative things I have to say about it. Good job to Vega Horizon Studios On their first title :)
It's a great mashup of the old and great SEGA metroid games. The control of the character and his robot is top-notch. All battles are accompanied by awesome music. Overall, the game is well worth a look, especially for old SEGA players.
According to the design of the levels, the game resembles Terraria, but the action is twice as much. The combat robot smashes enemies to dust with dynamic music. The ability to play both in close combat and with the help of firearms. Explore underground locations full of various enemies and hidden secrets.
It's... Just another "space is deadly and riddled with abominations, let's use militaristic force to regain ground". There might be more to it, but I wasn't impressed.
Gonna give it a recommend if you're into this type of game, but this isn't my cup of tea, doesn't feel as smooth as I thought it would.
From the first screenshot, at first glance, this game caught my nostalgia. It's very similar to a game from my childhood, I wish I could remember which one. The mechanics are the same, all very similar, played it with great pleasure. With this robot, no wars are not afraid.
Great game, I love it. I recommend to buy it.
Steelborn is a fast-paced action game that offers a great mix of combat, exploration, and RPG elements. The game is set in a dark and dystopian world where players take on the role of a powerful warrior, who must battle their way through hordes of enemies to save their kingdom from destruction. I like this game and advise to lovers of action roguealike
I really really really want to like it, I really do -- but I can't. The premise is great and immediately makes me feel like I'm playing a mash up of 2D Titanfall with a LOT of Starbound mixed in, both of which are my favorite games. The gameplay, however, is where it all comes crashing down. There's no satisfying hit feedback, enemies are bullet sponges, the mech feels way too clunky to use, and nothing feels satisfying in general. I'm not going to refund the game, I'll just put it in the corner with the rest of the games I don't like stay in. Who knows, maybe the devs will fix this game with some patches? I've learned to keep my expectations low, though.
