This is the definition of a passion project. This game is hilarious, engaging, and the run time doesn't overstay its welcome. The difficulty levels are very approachable as well. This is also the ugliest game (endearing) I have ever played. I recommend that everyone play through the story mode - don't leap straight into the arcade mode! I played this game on the standard difficulty as someone who is average at rhythm games and plays them a lot, but does not commonly play keyboard and mouse games. I found the standard difficulty engaging, but not difficult. I only failed one boss battle. If you are an experienced rhythm gamer, I suggest playing at a harder base difficulty, and if you are an experienced rpg player who knows how to optimize builds, then I recommend choosing harder mechs. The customizability of the different facets of the game, make it approachable to everyone.

They captured some great nostalgia with a new brand new feeling game genre! Not just another FPS, RPG, or Horror getting pumped out. I am not regretting my purchase in the slightest. It's like someone took Custom Robo and DJ Hero, combined them, and kept the fun hype with strategy combos, modifications to your mech to personalize it more for your playstyle (and yes, color schemes too)! It isn't just tapping to the beat, which the soundtrack is amazing and if you are not one for it? You can add your own custom playlist! They really put a lot of love and care into this!

Let me start by saying this game is AMAZING! Down to the story, the detail in the Tenzerks, the environment, the story, the character customization, and the way the game plays itself; everything is perfect. I truly believe this game is the best game I have played this year, and dare I say even the last few years. I absolutely ADORE the characters and the story that unfolds as you explore the map. I love seeing what all of the NPCs have to say when you interact with them. The music in the game is also fantastic, and the fact you have the ability to add your own custom songs to it too just further adds to the game. I've played two full playthroughs of the game already, all the way through, and I've been working through my third one now as well. It is so fun to replay, and with the randomness of what songs are chosen for the battles makes it easy to keep playing through it over and over again. Though I may be biased simply because I adore the game as much as I do, I have greatly enjoyed going through the story two times already and further absorbing the information provided, and even noticing little things I hadn't before gaining the knowledge I have currently. I STRONGLY recommend this game if you like RPGs, rhythm games, fun and silly characters, and a deep story beneath the seemingly silly appearance. I love and adore this game, and I will be playing through it many more times as well as aiming to 100% it. PLEASE give this game a try!!

I love the dancing mechs. The base songs are already pretty nice. Looking forward to adding songs I like, once I figure it out

I like Rythm games. I like Mecha. So when i saw stuff from instagram and was sold. Very cool that you can use your own music in story mode and its not confined to arcade mode. What i can tell of the story is not much yet. Something tells me the dev likes Evangelion, just a hunch.

Like it so far, weird mix of a rhythm game and pokemon.

I don't normally post reviews, and when I [b]have[/b] posted reviews, it's usually for the bit and only once was it out of of genuine criticisms of the game to tell people the pros and cons of what they were getting into. This review falls under a bit of both. It pains me that this game isn't more popular and if you got recommended this like I did, whether it be by your discovery queue, by a friend/influencer or the interactive reccommender, I want to tell you something very important. [h1]GET THE GAME.[/h1] I looked at it and thought "Oh, a silly rhythm game with mechs and they throw it back to custom songs this sounds fun." and it is! It is spectactularly fun whether or not you decide to put in your own custom music to watch the big ass robots dance around to the beat while you play. As someone in another review has said, it is very much like pokemon in the plot sense of things. Fight the other pilots in your silly duel, fight the boss guy in the city you're in, move on and you will get to the championship. Very simple. It's not boring either, eventually you'll get new mechs to play with and each one has their own playstyle. Keeps the game fresh as you try to master each one, and each has different builds to how you play too. Endless possibilities. It has silly graphics and silly robots. On that alone, it's great. [b]That being said, that's not the main reason why I'm reccommending this game.[/b] If this was just a mecha rhythm game that likened to pokemon I would not have written this long of a review. The story is where this rpg shines. Maybe I'm just a sensitive sucker, but the game starts out like how pokemon games start too. WOAH you got your first mech so cool now you've gotta go to the championship, your biggest dream with your friend alongside you. There's sprinkles of odd things that happen but no matter, this is fun! This is what you had been dreaming of all along, and soon, with your best buddy, you'll achieve your dreams and become the new champion!!! Now I'll warn you, I won't spoil anything but for story's sake, don't continue to read after this if you'd like the full experience as I think the game is best played with no knowledge whatsoever. But as the story continues, things keep unearthing themselves to you. A darker storyline creeps from behind, it's shadow lurking over the fun you have, over every pilot that interacts with your posts on social media. I won't spoil exactly what happens because I believe it's best to go into this game very blind so you get the full impact of it all. People you fought along your journey come to your aid and as much as it could be seen as "oh yeah power of friendship!" the game bleakly reminds you the real stakes at hand and you sob as another person falls prey to the disaster that's been unearthed. The disaster that everyone was hoping you'd absolve. And then, at the very end, you're given a choice. Do you continue to dance and sing like your ancestors, hoping to give light to a world that doesn't deserve it, or do you lay down your arms and remember the atrocities of man? Perhaps I'm laying it on too thick, but it genuinely felt like that to me. I sobbed over people I once fought, who replied to my every post, wailing for them to go back while I sat behind my screen. [b]"Don't help me, stay home!"[/b], but they're in my screen and I'm stuck watching. I felt ridiculed by one of the solutions, knowing the tragedy is like gum stuck to the bottom of my shoe, sticky, sickening and never going away. Do you continue to dance for the court like a fool or do you lay your head on the guillotine waiting for the blade that will never come? Play the game. It's great and deserves much more coverage. Overlook the silly graphics and silly mechs to immerse yourselves in an experience that will have you holding your head in your hands as your cursor hovers over the dialogue box by the end of it all.

Truly such fun! For real. Once you play you get the idea and its just fun!

I intially saw someone playing this game and it looked fun. It's such an amazing rhythm game, ngl to you I don't LIVE for the story, but I love this game. It's challenging and I like the fact that you can import songs because some of the music that's included is meh to me.
