About
Steel Artery is a train-city building simulator set in a steampunk fantasy world. Your task is to create a thriving city on wheels, where every wagon is a new piece of infrastructure and every decision shapes the lives of thousands of inhabitants.
Once upon a time, the Empire built the legendary Steelpolis, a colossal train that showcased technological power, economic dominance, and authority. It traveled across vast provinces, enforcing order, collecting tribute, and dazzling the masses. But now, the Empire’s treasury is empty, its lands fractured, and its infrastructure on the brink of collapse. To save it, the Emperor revives the abandoned project—and you are appointed as the mayor of this reborn city on rails.
Unlike traditional city-builders, you do not give direct commands. Citizens are autonomous, driven by their own needs and choices. They work, eat, rest, and spend money based on their own choices and circumstances. A worker may refuse a faraway job, quit after earning enough gold, or pick a new profession entirely. You provide opportunities—they shape their lives.
Humans, elves, orcs, and other races bring unique needs and values to your train. They form relationships, carry their own histories, and interact in ways that can foster cooperation or create cultural tension. Managing these diverse communities is as vital as expanding your economy.
Every building generates or consumes resources. Workers need salaries, inns charge for rest, and diners demand payment for meals. To keep your city thriving, you must stop in resource-rich regions, extract what you need, and plan your wagon layouts carefully. Space is limited, logistics are complex, and efficiency is the key to survival.
Will you design a compact, fast-moving train for a tight human colony, or create a sprawling leviathan filled with thousands of inhabitants? Each path offers unique challenges and emergent stories.

Très bon jeu de gestion , addictif à souhait . Même si le jeu n est pas encore complet vu sa jeunesse , il propose un très jolis game-play en pixel arts .
Very Nice game, ALOT of potencial, This is a game in very early access—as always, developers use buyers as beta testers, and Cryptivo really takes this to the extreme—but the developer seems quite honest about their vision and goals, which is why I’m recommending it. But ideally, you should buy and play it after a year or two; I think that’s the time the developer needs to polish it into a finished indie game. The game is okay, though you can tell a lot is missing—from technologies to various parameters. I’d say the interface is terrible and very rough. The tutorial is fun to play through, but it doesn't teach you anything if you already know the basics of this genre; I recommend skipping it if you're an experienced player, otherwise you might get stuck dealing with a severe resource shortage. The game doesn't explicitly tell you this, but my best tip is: don't get hung up on the limited early-game resources—keep moving forward. The train needs to keep rolling; if you stop at every little step, you'll waste time. Focus on building all the basic infrastructure you'll need early on.
I haven't played passed the tutorial yet, but the snowpiercer reference is peak
It need nore work , The Developer also promised to give more and intensively apologise for his early launch. but so far The game is good with environment and mecanics. Even though it need more work. It's still a worth it to buy. It's not buggy and npc actually work how it suppose to . The train also function accordingly. Here's my specifications where the dev should work: + Layers of train. like if the hight limit can be further extended in future game update. + Raids, as it a survival management game. it would give a different aspect to the game . + Npc manual work designation. it can give the player actively involve with game npc.
Decently fun, incredibly challenging. I'm up to Steelpolis VII as I restart to correct my past mistakes. I feel like with a bit of polish, especially in the management aspect, this game could go far. Definitely worth a try if hard city builders and resource management are up your alley.
The game has just the right level of difficulty – or rather, the kind I like in building games: it’s challenging, and you often have to restart because you’ve used up your resources too quickly. I like the refreshing new setting. According to the developer, the full release was apparently rushed, and after initially being stubbornly resistant to criticism, he came round to realising that the criticism was justified. Admittedly, after just 5 hours of play, I may not be in a position to give a fully informed review. But I want to give the game a chance because the basic concept is fun, and so far I haven’t encountered any bugs. I hope the developer sticks to the goals they’ve set for themselves, or I’ll have to change my mind.
Visual 6/10 Its pixelated, a little rough around the edge but gets the job done. Music 6/10 Nothing impressive but alright. Playthru 7/10 challenging, yet rewarding, with a nice rhythm to it. The early stages are particularly tough, but overcoming these hurdles feels great. Story 4/10 it’s a bit thin—there’s not much of a story, but hopefully the developers will flesh that out. In the end, it’s a challenging and enjoyable ride—perfect for strategy fans who don’t mind piecing together their own narrative along the tracks. Overall good game!
Наигрался в пиратку, купил лицензию в знак уважения разработчику. Игрушка с потенциалом, но пока сыровата. Вернусь через пол года, перепроверю.
