Very bare bones resource collection / trading game. Best part of the game is gaming the planet economies and trading (sitting outside a planet desperate for food, waiting for prices to go up, selling at the peak, etc.) Military units are really only for defending your trade/mining ships from pirates, or hunting pirates/other NPCs to take their cargo. Your station itself, from what I can see, cannot come under attack in anyway so it's not a high-octane challenge, but more of a fun little game to play with mini-stock markets in every planet (best part of the game is the economies shifting with line charts) I recommend the game if the above sounds fun, and it's priced under $10 (I got it for $8.50 on special). A few hours of fun and you're supporting a small game creator.
The game is good, worth the money. I hope this will continue to be developed with regular patch updates. Some notes: 1. Pirate ships are too strong in early game. Make them less oppressive or add a difficulty setting so fighting pirates can feel more engaging. 2. Repairing ships is a serious chore. I mean like for each ship in a fleet (9 total) there are multiple clicks per ship which gets tedious very fast. Just add a simple way to repair all the ships in a fleet with one click. 3. The scaling on the storage modules is too high, forcing me to use almost all of my free slots to add storage space. I'd really like to use those slots for other modules.... 4. Really limited modules. No "habitat" module, "entertainment", "wildlife", "science", etc. Would really love to diversify my modules instead of using them almost entirely for storage space. 5. Really love the trading and resource harvesting aspect of the game. The trading UI could also do with less button clicks. 6. Routes! I want to set up routes for my ships (harvesting, trading, security) so I don't have to click on each ship as my fleet grows. 7. Base defense! These stations should have some pretty damn big guns attached to them (upgradable of course) 8. "Salvage Tech" - things you can only get from pirate salvage (modules for ships, treasure maps, high-tier etc.) 9. Let me destroy the pirate stations! 10. Having a dictionary of all functions is nice to look things up, but what about a playable tutorial? Or even a video walkthrough that shows all key features? 11. Can I dock at a planet in future patches? Will I be able to mine rare resources from specific planets? 12. What kind of multiplayer is planned? 13. Give me a customizable avatar for my station commander! 14. Let me move my station! Or at least attach is to a planet's orbit, where my station can become the trading hub if I'm friendly enough with them? 15. Can I have a second station? or a third? maybe with wormholes or something between them? Ok enough for now. All in all, heaps of potential and honestly I played it for 6 hours straight on release...
Elite this is not!! Neither is it like Startopia or some of these other games. ICH!! Its not a random map everytime its the same and the goals are very repetitive and linear. DONT BE FOOLED! BUYER BEWARE!!
Je to asi hodně rozdělaný, ale jednoduchý princip z toho dělá těžce chytlavou zábavu.
It might be because I'm a bad player, but the NPC difficulty level progresses much, much faster than I was able to keep up upgrading, resulting in the ratty pirates constantly wiping out all my ships.
