The PC version is definitely the way to play! The game runs better, the graphics are so much more detailed, and there's full voice acting (and extended dialogue)!! So glad this game was republished, I hope other folks will enjoy the wacky worlds and hilarious characters that Space Circus has to offer. :)

unfortunately, this game is nearly unplayable..this was one of my first computer games back in the day and was looking forward to playing it. Hopefully they update it EDIT: Got it working, still a bit jenky but all around plays like it did 12 years ago
Starshot: Space Circus Fever is a competent platformer, but the unsatisfactory release makes it a very "your mileage may vary" experience.
Love the game, but, unfortunately, it's full of glitches, so i can't tell you to buy it.
The game is a literal 1:1 port from the earlier release onto PC, meaning YOU NEED TO CHANGE SETTINGS TO MAKE IT WORK. Yes, running the program in XP Service 3 is a step, but if you want to use a controller instead of the borked keyboard mapping from 1999 then look for Steam community keymappings since I am looking to share mine there since this was a game, is a game, and should be enjoyed as such.
Starshot was my very first computer game. I was born in 1995, and I played it using the physical CD the year it came out. Like many people, I couldn’t get past the first planet (Tensuns) to reach the second one. My dad used to help me, and I even remember crying when I finally got past the part with the sharks in Tensuns ^.^ After 2005, I started searching for this game everywhere. I downloaded tons of Nintendo 64 files and tried to run them on different emulators. I eventually managed to get it working perfectly on my Android phone — and this time, I made it through three planets! (+Killer Expo and Primitron) Today, the topic of old games came up, and somehow, seeing Starshot again made me tear up. It’s true what people say — the controls are clunky, and yeah, the gameplay can be rough. But that’s just how it’s always been… and after all the effort I went through to play it again, it honestly never disappoints me. For years, I asked everyone, everywhere, “Do you know this game?” And even now, when I read a few people talking about it in the Steam comments, it still makes me emotional.
(Rediscover a forgotten gem of 90s 3D platforming, Starshot!)
