About

An entire universe awaits you in Stars Reach. In this science-fantasy MMORPG, you'll visit strange, new worlds, become an explorer, and build a life on planets that react to everything you do. Your choices will change your world. And, you'll do it with every other player on a single server. Leave your mark on the galaxy!
Each world responds to your actions. A deep, reactive simulation allows water to flow naturally, forests to burn, and lava to harden into new materials and land masses. From lush forests to winding rivers to perilous mountains, every planet has its own ecosystems, resources, and challenges. Your decisions determine what resources are available to you, how wildlife reacts, and ultimately which settlements prosper.
Planets are living systems. Your decisions determine what resources are available to you. Climate changes, creatures migrate, disasters strike, and the world reacts in ways you can’t fully control.
Travel through wormholes to discover new worlds, explore, build, survive, and thrive. Every planet begins untouched. What it becomes is up to you.
Master one of dozens of skill paths, and live the galactic life you’ve always dreamed. Whether you want to protect settlers as a ranger, build a trade empire, or offer your services as an architect, Stars Reach offers many skill paths that allow you to chart a course through space that fits your play style. There are different weapons to master. There’s a career path just for you in Stars Reach.
You’re not locked into any single playstyle. Experiment with different skill paths and find the combination that suits you best. Build your own class from different skill sets and define your role in the galaxy.
Your first steps onto a new world take you far beyond the familiar. You’ll need to adapt to your surroundings by learning to survive. Every skill path has accompanying equipment, which you’ll gain proficiency with by using those tools.
More importantly, your contributions to the community will increase your proficiency. A camp you build will earn you experience when others rest at it. Community means survival, and we’ve built Stars Reach to support pro-social behavior and limit the ability for other players to ruin your experience through griefing.
You can build a cozy cottage on a remote hill, and carve out a living by yourself. But if you crave community, team up to build settlements and cities, shape how they grow, and decide how they are governed.
Team up and claim a large plot of land that isn’t just a home base. You and your friends can cluster your homesteads, build a community, and govern together.
The resources you gather can be sold in a unified galactic economy driven by players. Or, you can use them to craft tools and technology to supply distant worlds with vital goods necessary for their survival.
Trade with players across the galaxy, specialize in what you make, and become a master of your craft and earn renown across the galaxy.
Your choices determine what comes next.
Cities grow or decline, ecosystems shift, wildlife becomes extinct, and resources are used up or recover based on what you do. Protect the environment and its inhabitants, or strip mine it for profit. Other players live with the results of what you leave behind.
This is Stars Reach! What will you become?

This game is not at a sellable playable state, I hope that in the future the game improves but right now at this point of the games development its to difficult and challenging to do simple and basic tasks, I should be able to do things like sell simple items for gold instead of doing quests for 130-350 gold that take 30 mins to do? Huge waste of my time and energy, great idea but very poor exaction and delivery. This game should be free to play not 30 bucks. Refunded.
Massive loading times between places and my PC is cutting edge. Clunky movements. Bad graphics. Just all round bad. It reminds me of a game called Asherons Call which came out around 28yrs ago, except Asherons Call was better. I'd leave this alone for a few yrs then come back. Even then I suspect it'll be abandoned by then. Refunded.

Good idea ruined by jank, bugs and bad graphics.
A Negative Review That I Hope Turns Positive I really want to like this game, but right now it feels like the studio tried to build a bigger vision than the current systems can support. Movement feels buggy&laggy, combat is funky, and inventory management is unnecessarily messy. The biggest problem is that identical items from different planets don't stack. An apple from Planet A and an apple from Planet B are apparently completely different apples, so they take separate inventory slots. The market inherits the same problem, which makes the whole economy feel more complicated than it needs to be. The graphics also feel like they're from the early 2000s. Normally I don't care much about graphics, but in this case some areas are genuinely hard to overlook. There are quests across four different planets, but the way you travel between them is probably the strangest part. You leave the space station, slowly make your way toward a teleportation device floating in the middle of space, and then teleport to the planet. It feels unnecessarily complicated rather than immersive. My biggest concern, though, is that the game doesn't seem to communicate its potential very well. Maybe I'm missing something, but the bigger vision the game seems to be aiming for never really came through for me. It feels like the studio may have bitten off more than it can currently chew. Untill the studio keeps improving the core systems, fixes the awkward parts, and manages to bring that bigger vision to life, its a No from me.
Love the game idea that it has, but why would you release a game , even in early access, when game is unplayable? I just got out of the laggy tutorial to be bugged out in the garden area, not able to go anywhere.. tried restarting game, others have issues too and we are all stuck here.. paid $40 to be stuck not able to move or go anywhere... why do devs do this to their players..
Raph Koster Helped Define What an MMO Could Be. I’m Betting He Can Do It Again. My love for MMOs probably started before I ever knew what an MMO was. As a kid in the '80s, I played tabletop D&D with friends. I dabbled in MUDs, and I have great memories of huddling around an Amiga with friends playing single-player RPGs. But I remember always wishing for something more. I wanted that fantasy world to be a place where all of us could be there together, each on our own computer, having our own adventures and creating our own stories. Years later, Star Wars Galaxies finally gave me that. It somehow brought together my love of D&D, video games, Star Wars, and shared worlds in a way I'd imagined since I was a kid. It wasn't just a game I played—it helped define what I believed an MMO could be. That's a big reason I'm supporting Stars Reach. Raph Koster belongs on the Mount Rushmore of MMO designers. His influence on this genre, and particularly the idea that virtual worlds should be more than combat treadmills and queues, is enormous. Supporting Stars Reach feels like an opportunity to support Raph and a team attempting to build the kind of world that made many of us fall in love with MMOs in the first place. So, you have my support. Now for the difficult part... I honestly can't make it past the character creator yet. I've tried. I really have. But the current art style is a pretty significant hurdle for me. And that's especially unfortunate because creating your character is one of those magical first moments in an MMO. It's the doorway into the world. I need to look at that character and think, "Yep. That's me. Let's go have an adventure." Right now, I'm just not getting there. But I'm also not writing Stars Reach off because of it. I'm going to let the game cook. I'll continue supporting it, watching it develop, and hoping that the visuals—particularly the characters—continue to evolve alongside everything else. I've waited a very long time to experience another MMO world from Raph Koster. I can wait a little longer. Recommended—not because Stars Reach has already become the MMO I've been waiting for, but because I want to support the people still willing to try to build one.
If they keep the updates rolling, this game has huge potential. It is rough around the edges, but that is part of the process. Go in knowing you are playing a work in progress, but that progress is going steady. Combat already feels 100x better, lag and stuttering has improved a lot, and the bug fixes are being handled quickly. I am excited to see what the future of this game can be.
El juego directamente no comienza, crasheando al intentar entrar en el mundo. He probado a reinstalar, borrar carpetas, reinstalar librerías de visualc++, reinstalar driver de gráfica, diversos parámetros de inicio... NADA.
i m having fun .... the crafting is new , the missions are repetitive and no pvp yet but we ll see, give star reach a chance
