About
Stardust Exile is a space RTS game set in the Milky Way galaxy, containing currently known stars and exoplanets with their real characteristics. The remaining star systems are procedurally generated based on the current estimated number of stars in our galaxy. You can rename stars and planets that you control outside of the Solar System.
Create your own spaceship designs with an in-game procedural spaceship generator. Spaceships visuals don't change their stats. This way players won't have to use spaceships they don't like due to superior stats.
In the MMORTS mode, all players are in the same universe, and the world is persistent. Compete with other players to take back the Solar System and end your exile. Players can fight to control systems, retreat to the periphery to regain strength and rebuild their fleets as needed, or they can play as a trading empire dedicated to trading spaceships and resources to accumulate credits.
Spaceships keep operating even when the player is offline: production spaceships keep harvesting resources, and combat spaceships automatically engage invading spaceships. To allow players to mount proper defenses against large attacks, they can build disruptors to slow down travel from enemies to their systems for up to 24 hours.
The Single-Player Skirmish mode allows to generate other galaxies with different sizes, densities, star systems and opponents. Research/Tech Tree, Planetary Outposts and Pirates can be enabled or disabled as desired.
Pre-defined modes include:
End Exile: Make your way to the Solar System and end your exile.
Quick Match: A small game of conquest with few factions and a small limit of spaceships.
Galactic War: A proper war. Wins the empire with the most stored resources after the time limit reached.
Simulation: Watch empires rise and fall. No playable faction.
Or create your own scenario with any of the victory conditions or none.
Features:
MMORTS persistent, single-shard

Stardust Exile is a small homage on Sins of a Solar Empire and uses pretty much the same RTS commands. But it is also quite different, as it is a MMO with a persistant universe. So, everything is acting on the same timeline, the same universe, the same physics. It has a nice approach of asynchrone multiplayer and instead of pure PvP it has pirate factions (AI) that try to cripple your expansion and loot your occupied systems. So you don't need to do cut-throat tactics, you could also just go for economics, expand peacefully and/or start COOP with one of your many neighbors. Also you could not expect the rich graphics from SoaSE, but it is sufficient and worth to watch during your orders. Your starting system is pure chance, so you might have space to prosper, or might be under pressure from day one. All players try to capture back Sol system, what is the main goal for all. Never tried the singleplayer part, possibly I'll try after I'm loosing grip on my empire. Who knows? So far it is quite fun to play and to see how your plans unfold. There is no chance in battles or how research or mechanics work. All is up to your personal preferences. Before I forget, yes you have a spaceship designer. It is pure cosmetic, but fun to tickle arround with. Same as all things, every change, every otherly colored part of your new designs will ad-hoc be visible right in the game. So if you like to paint your ships green, red or mixed, you see every little detail right in the game. Excellent work from the developers, I'd say. Well done job and there is a lot more that has been announced. So, yes, they do care and develop their game. Those pirates I've talked about before are some kind of irritating. I think the better you prosper, the more the AI follows your moves and tries to counter...but you still have the option to outmanouver them, when you invest some time and ideas. All in all a fun RTS game...and usually I do not play RTS at all. But...yeah it is also a bit time consuming if you want to have things done exactly how you want it. So far it is on early access and actually on sale. Recommended? Balanced, if you like the basic SoaSE playstyle and want to try that in a persistant universe as an MMO. Is it worth the price? I think not, it is way too overpriced in my eyes. Once you finished research, what is done in 1-2 weeks, you get just bullied arround by the old-time players. If they can't beat you, they start to cheat and use exploits that the devs don't want to rule out. But better go get their demo and find out yourself. Possibly you may find some key sellers with a nice offer... After a 100h playtime I found out that the system enforces players to cheat. You invest a lot of time to build your position but some players that are in the game from day one found a way to use cheating to win if they can't beat you otherwise. No defense possible. Therefore I could no longer recommend this game.
There needs to be a ceasefire period after leaving a alliance or kicking from a alliance. the gameplay is enjoyable but simplistic, and the disruptor period should be increased or each disruptor should be exponentially more expensive to place in a system, it can cost energy.
Very cool conceptually, but could use some content and QOL expansions. For instance, there should be an info menu that shows you when your disruptors expire. Still, it's a fun extrapolation of the old online empire sims where expansion takes a long time over many sessions.
good game, good potential, slow-ish moving, but also good because you dont need to play 24/7 to avoid being attacked, once a day is enough. great for us who have to work a lot and dont have consistent time to game. not great if you want something to play for hour long sessions. worth the small price tag and developer is super cool and will reply to you directly.
Игра уровня 20-ти летней давности, графика ниже плинтуса, дизайн кораблей ни как не влияет на их характеристики, интерфейс глючит, пожалел о покупке .
rilassante e profondo.
Lots of small issues and room for improvement, but the scope is ambitious and I look forward to seeing the project develop
