About
Stardust Exile is a space RTS game set in the Milky Way galaxy, containing currently known stars and exoplanets with their real characteristics. The remaining star systems are procedurally generated based on the current estimated number of stars in our galaxy. You can rename stars and planets that you control outside of the Solar System.
Create your own spaceship designs with an in-game procedural spaceship generator. Spaceships visuals don't change their stats. This way players won't have to use spaceships they don't like due to superior stats.
In the MMORTS mode, all players are in the same universe, and the world is persistent. Compete with other players to take back the Solar System and end your exile. Players can fight to control systems, retreat to the periphery to regain strength and rebuild their fleets as needed, or they can play as a trading empire dedicated to trading spaceships and resources to accumulate credits.
Spaceships keep operating even when the player is offline: production spaceships keep harvesting resources, and combat spaceships automatically engage invading spaceships. To allow players to mount proper defenses against large attacks, they can build disruptors to slow down travel from enemies to their systems for up to 24 hours.
The Single-Player Skirmish mode allows to generate other galaxies with different sizes, densities, star systems and opponents. Research/Tech Tree, Planetary Outposts and Pirates can be enabled or disabled as desired.
Pre-defined modes include:
End Exile: Make your way to the Solar System and end your exile.
Quick Match: A small game of conquest with few factions and a small limit of spaceships.
Galactic War: A proper war. Wins the empire with the most stored resources after the time limit reached.
Simulation: Watch empires rise and fall. No playable faction.
Or create your own scenario with any of the victory conditions or none.
Features:

Major Sins of a Solar Empire vibes, which I think is a great thing. Don't be turned away by the live service stuff; it also has a single player skirmish mode vs. the AI which I'm having a lot of fun with. If you liked SoSE then I'm sure you'll appreciate giving at least the single player skirmish mode a shot. Each system has a star, an asteroid belt, and a few planets. You start with a system and a shipyard (which is itself a ship) and from there you build collectors, gas extractors, and dyson ships to harvest materials, gas, and energy from the planets and sun. To expand to a neighboring star system (assuming it's not occupied by enemies), you simply fly a shipyard ship over to it (remember the shipyard is itself a ship?) and start cranking out resource collectors. But it can't be your first shipyard ship because that one doesn't have an engine capable of leaving the system. So first you need to research an engine, and then you need to design your own shipyard ship that has that engine, and then you need to produce that ship from the shipyard using materials, gas, and energy. Now we're talkin! Speaking of ship design, it's pretty cool but fairly simple. You select what kind of weapon it will carry (projectile, missile, gauss), what kind of armor it will have (none, light, medium, heavy) and what kind of engine (mk1, mk2, mk3). Beyond that, the many remaining options are purely cosmetic but it's neat how it was done. You can freely design any ship + hardware combination you want, but in order to actually build it you have to research each of the components it has. This applies even to the pre-built frigates and other vessels. The UI does a nice job telling you which research items you're missing. The research tree has most things you would expect (increased resource extraction rate/storage, increased fleet size, new weapons/armor/engines) but it seems tuned for the live service because in single player mode, with the fast-forward controls, it doesn't take long to max everything out. But that's ok, there's plenty of other stuff to do. Some aspects of the UI are a little bit too small, even in 2k resolution. Thankfully it's not quite so bad that I need my reading glasses, but it's close lol. I encountered a bug during the tutorial which the dev acknowledged and plans to fix, and I had one hard freeze that required a kill & restart (thankfully there's an auto-save), but other than that it's been holding up well. I'm looking forward to many more hours of fun with this one.
ALL IS KRON THEREFORE ALL SHALL BE KRON
This game is like Sins of a Solar Empire, Master of Orion and Ogame doing heroin together. I love it, and I didn't know I needed it in my life. Looking forward to more updates, glad to see the dev is active.
完全可以当个放置游戏玩,可惜科技树有点短,不知道后面会不会更新大船折跃或者星门什么的。话说默认船厂真的很像空调哎~
Ich hoffe da kommt für 20 Euro noch mehr
It definitely needs more content and mechanics, but I love single shard persistence and massive scale. This game has both.
