STAR WARS™ Jedi Knight - Mysteries of the Sith™

Absolute Puzzle Gem. can be extremely unforgiving. But when the credits roll there is a ton of satisfaction!

Unfortunately, this one's a stinker...  I absolutely love the Star Wars Legends/Expanded Universe.  As an expansion onto Jedi Knight, I think this one really falls short.  Jedi Knight had a memorable protagonist, villains, boss fights, and most importantly: FMV cutscenes. The FMV cutscenes are part of what made that game and world feel so "alive" and left this game feeling so "dead" in contrast. The cutscenes in that one added so much more personality to the game, and gave a sense of scope and perspective.  Mara Jade in this game has no depth, character development, personality, traits, or backstory within her own game. Entirely forgettable character.  The story felt super bland.  I absolutely hated the portrayal of Kyle Katarn in this game, and am so glad this little twist was ignored in the following games. It lacked any real boss fights as the story progressed. There weren't really any concrete villains, unlike in Jedi Knight.  The game is also extremely hard to navigate like Jedi Knight.  Most of the game has obscure ways to progress through the maps.  And I had to watch tutorials frequently.  This game doesn't even feel cannon within its own universe.  Forgotten for a reason.
